ok here I am again in this section lol.
Need help, what does a server need to run the multiplayer maps like berlin, flugaphen, druckerman as FFA, our server is missing a mod and don't know what it is since we switched, we need it...do you have it lol?

Just set the server to FFA like any other map.

I thought it was a mod bc when it is set to FFA it crashes the server within 9 minutes if more than two people in the server, any more ideas...I can post a file list or send you any file, or whatever if you need to see something, It's just baffling all of us.

So, you're saying that if you run an obj map in FFA mode it crashes? What kind of error is it giving you? The server's qconsole.log should have something in it. Are those maps modded? The stock game .scr file checks to see if what the gametype is before it sets up the objectives, a modded map may not have that set up correctly.

I do know they are stock maps that are crashing, but tried my modded ones also and they crashed so it's a setting someplace. gametype is set to 1
Specter might remember the errors and have more info, I'll try to get him in here to provide more.

I know this is kind of off-topic, but this question has been bugging me for a while. I came across an old star wars game called Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast and I have been thinking. it works off of the quake 3 engine, so couldn't some of its features be ported over to MOH? kinda change over some of the lightsaber fighting to make good machete fights, and plus the "force" abilities could be used for the monster gametype on your server. I would try to test this myself, but the parents still have my computer confiscated.

I've never seen a sound error crash a server. Is it possible?

Yes and no. Its not really a sound error, its a memory overrun error. It happens when you have too many sound aliases. Open up any custom map .pk3 files and delete the Ubersound and Uberdialog folders. OBJ maps load a few more sounds than FFA/TDM maps, and they were enough to put you past the limit.

This was the stock Berlin. Or did i miss something? sry if i sound like i dont know anything but it is just confusing to me. kinda like css php html and java to some people..

If it is a problem with too many sound aliases, any OBJ map will have it. But the problem isn't really on that map. If you have a custom map .pk3 on the server with a Ubersound folder in it, it gets read for EVERY map, not just that particular map. Try deleting the Ubersound folders out of any non-stock .pk3 map or mod files. You'll need to check MAIN and MAINTA game folders.

I'm having a hard time locating the player above head icons... ie wlky talkie, or when your on a gun, that bullet icon. Looking for those file names, and where they all are.
