Never ask what kind of computer a person uses--if it's a Mac, he'll say; if not, why embarrass him?

Instead of guzer.com, it should be goober.com, because the guy is a (suddenly overly loud for presumed dramatic presentation) (unnecessarily thrown-in curse word for presumed coolness and emphasis) FREAKING IDIOT who tried (we are to presume) three different Macs (a blueberry g3 iMac, a silver g? PowerMac, and a laptop (?model), based on the pictures and his words) as he would a Windows box ("looking for the executable to click on," for example), if he is to be believed, only to encounter every possible non-happening he could think of. The only thing he did say that was true is about the Dock--you have to place it where you prefer and set it how you want it to be, or it can be annoying as it pops up when you mouse over or down too far. And for the record, I've had exactly 3 crashes with my last two iMacs over the last 4 years: One was transferring my old files from my g3 iMac to my g4 via FireWire, and it got hung up on font files and I had to turn off the power to get control (and lost Zero files on either machine, just had to actually read the directions on how to get the files--they were "locked" files and so I couldn't just copy them, had to unlock them first), and the other two were trying to quit MOH (!!!) and having it freeze up, requiring the power strip to be turned off (once with the g4 and once with my new g5), and neither time were any files lost or damaged. Now I just pause a few seconds after going to the main room of MOH before I hit the "quit" button, or just use Command-Q, and it doesn't happen. And if MOH freezes on me during game play (happens a few times a year), I just use the Mac's force-quit command (Command-Option-Escape) to quit only the hung application and take me to the desktop (it's a beautiful thing!). With Windows, you better hope you can even click your mouse to bring up the Task Manager to get the same thing done, and hope it will kill the program. Oh, I now regularly run at the same time iTunes, 2 different browsers, MS Word, Acrobat, MS Excel, and an image program (Preview or Camedia), adding in and then closing when done a Calendar or Calculator, all without crashes and with good speed. OK, if turn off iTunes, Word runs faster, but otherwise it's sweet. I love my iMac! It's a g5, 2.1 GHz, 1 Gb RAM, ATI Radeon X600 XT w/ 128 Mb VRAM, 20 inch flat monitor, Read/Write CD/DVD, wireless laser mouse, built-in web camera, BlueTooth, and Airport (wireless networking). Funny, though, how Mr. Boat Anchor ended up doing his piece, and making his peace, with a Mac in the end. In fact, he rather went through quite a bit, and 3 Macs, if he is to be believed, and still stayed with the Mac, rather than go back to a Windows box. As I said earlier, "Once you go Mac......." But nice try, guys!

lol just messen' with ya RED lol Yeah, I know, I love you guys, and I truly understand that you're letting me be me and have fun with y'all with my comments, so thanks! And for that Cambodia Raid, Rookie, I already gave you the answer, get a Mac, LOL! lets try to stay focus on the task at hand here. We are trying to help ME get into the FREAKIN CAMBODIA RAID map, lol. Seriously, I don't know what to do--that map works for me but always causes lag lag lag. When I.Feliks was a member here, he suggested stripping the sound out of the map to make it work faster, but Lamron says it's all the leaves on the trees there, and I've noticed when I have my fps setting on, that when I look at some trees there, the frames go way way down per second, and then back up to playable levels when I look elsewhere. So, there's more useless info for you, Rookie, as you try to solve your problem. But here is something you can try-- 1) Delete the Cambodia Raid file you have from every folder you have it in (do a Search for it and make sure you don't have more than one copy anywhere)--you don't have to empty your trash at this time, in case you're leery about getting rid of it until you try this, but do delete it from the folder(s). 2) Go to this address (see the private message I'm sending you) on my Apple.com iDisk public folder and copy the file I have indicated; this will be Cambodia Raid in the pk3 form, not a compressed or zipped or .exe file, but the actual file itself, and you will be copying it directly from my iDisk to your hard disk MOH mainta (for spearhead) or maintt (for breakthrough) folder (or to wherever you want to download it to, just as long as you do move it to the correct MOH folder before you try to run it). Maybe just maybe this will bypass some issues. I don't know, but it is worth a try, right?

NO, put them in maintt for breakthrough, mainta for spearhead--See where all your other CUSTOM maps (which you know work) are located, and put it in the same one to be sure.
Fortunately for me, on a Mac, main is quite enough, it finds the maps just fine without them being in the sub sub sub folders. (Oh dear, did I say that out loud?)

Both SH and BT scan their own folders and MAIN for custom maps as its loading. I usually just tell people to put it in MAIN because its easier. Players with both SH and BT definately should put them in MAIN so they work for both. The LPmenu, LPskins, and Client Fix need to be in the right folders though.

HOLY CRAP I think maybe I should just clear ALL the MOH stuff off my computer and start all over again. From your E-mail Lam and what Red said it sounds like I got everything all screwed up. All my custom maps are in the wrong spot and can't even find some stuff you guys say I should have.
Rookie rubs his head in frustration
Maybe I should get a Mac? lol

I'm not sure how it happened, but there was a bad filename on the website. It's fixed now.
