do i have 2 connect with spearhead 2 setup the desktop shortcut 2 go straight 2 the playground?

No, it will work with BT also. Make a copy of your desktop shortcut to BT and rename it so you remember which is the special one. Right click and select properties. Put this in the "Target" box and hit apply:
"C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\MOHAA\moh_Breakthrough.exe" +password xxxx +connect 24.33.254.5
