It was fantastic!! We stayed a mile away from Animal Kingdom. A local cop (we always seem to find each other) showed me a short cut to avoid all the traffic. We stayed in a 4 bed condo that was 5star. Did a total of 7 days at Disneyworld and 1 at Seaworld. The other 2 days were spent by the pool.
We had some great Pizza at a place called Giordano's and almost barfed after eating a Sizzler.
I almost thought that I was in Great Britain...every second person was from the mother country.
I was very impressed how Disney made everything from parking to ride lines as efficient as possible. We rode the Tower of Terror 3 times and the new Expedition Everest (Awesome) twice.
The weather was also fantastic.
I would highly recommend it for a family vacation and rate it way higher than the California version Disneyland.
Only 2 sour notes:
1. Was disappointed with the Sports channels. No hockey coverage even though Florida has 2 NHL teams. Lots of high school sports coverage though??
2. We grabbed a 1/2 of a bench to sit 1hr prior to the Magic Kingdom fireworks. After about 1/2 hr my wife took my little ones to go pee. I put our backpack next to me to save their seat. I turned the other way for a second and hear my backpack fall on the ground. I turned around and saw a 70 yr old guy sitting where my backpack used to be. Without me even getting a chance to utter a word he screams, yes screams, at me " I was a navy seal in Vietnam and I'll kill you without thinking twice. I'm sitting here for a few minutes" I of course figure he is nuts and tell him to sit but why the attitude. He then says "I'll take you out back right now". I start looking around thinking that this must be a joke and I'm on Candid camera. He continued ranting and raving and I started to ponder the headline "Canadian cop knocks out 70 yr old veteran at Disneyworld". His wife then came over and dragged him off. I wondered how many times in his life he has been punched out for being a twit.
