I listen to a lot of streaming music on the internet while I do paperwork, especially unplugged or acoustic or acappella music/songs, so I hear such artists and go look them up. Then I buy used CD's on ebay or half.com of those artists, especially in compilations with other artists. I have the Rocket Launcher song on "Columbia Records Radio Hour, Vol. 2" for example. Another favorite series of mine is the Alice Music (from Alice Radio, San Francisco), as they put out such compilations once a year to raise funds for breast cancer research. See radioalice.com/pages/101813.php for the latest (vol. 10). Some of my favorite songs from those volumes (I have #'s 3 through 10; #'s 1 and 2 are pricey, now) are "A Sorta Fairytale (Alice Lounge Performance)" by Tori Amos, "Bring Me To Life (Acoustic Version)" by Evanescence, "Crazy For This Girl (Acoustic Version)" by Evan & Jaron, "24 (Alice Lounge)" by Jem, "Goodnight And Go" by Imogene Heap, "Everywhere (Acoustic Version)" by Michelle Branch, "Thank You" by Dido; and "Not Pretty Enough (Alice lounge-2/20/02)" by Kasey Chambers.
