It's cold, there's ice on the ground and there is snow in the forecast. My poor, lonely Ducati is sitting forlornly in the garage...it's been almost a month since I've had her out. I am seriously jonesing for a ride! The bike needs an oil change and some minor routine maintenance. Since the garage is fairly heated, perhaps taking care of those issues will help curb my withdrawal pangs. Not riding has also not allowed me to ease my passion for this new Duc:   It's the new 1098 superbike, and she is super! Price in the US is $15,000...a full $2,000 LESS than the '06 999, the bike it replaces! It's got 160 hp and weighs in at 380 lbs, dry. It has really rocked the sportbike world, and it won't even be in dealerships until next month! Alas, my financial status won't allow me to acquire one of these stunning beauties. I would go out and flog my 900SS through the curves and convince myself I don't have it so bad... Did I mention I am really jonesing for a ride? |

What, there are no tire chains for bikes? Or maybe a short ski for the front and a chain for the rear tire?

I sorry to hear that. Looks like its going to worse before it gets better. Aren't you guys supposed to get quite a bit of snow in the next few days?

at least you have a bike... ive been jonesing for years but not looking to bright anytime soon to get one... doing your matinance is going to make it worse lol like touching the thing on the shelf at the store that you cant afford makes you want it even that much more... good luck bud.. lol

if its any help desmo i,m going through the same in england! (ugh)...cold-stormy-wet!(come-on the summer!)  look at my baby! sends shivers down the spine!still,like you say there's always a bit of maintanence that needs to be done.me & herr-monk and a few others are going to squeeze all of this summer biking!at lest it's ahead of us.nothing finer than biking in sunshine!................pop...ps. nice 'duke' |

Aren't you guys supposed to get quite a bit of snow in the next few days? We got 7 inches last night. I was working, too, and that SUCKED! The general populace is comprised of morons. |

Rainy here, too, upper 70's too. I'd take some of that cold stuff if you'd keep the snow, though.

freezing rain..snow...freezing rain...snow again...slopes are open, kids have been skiing and tubing. Sat nite a bunch of us are going skiing should be fun..

As some of you know, I help pass the time by having the Victoria's Secret girls
stop by for Martinis 3 times a week. They bring their 2007 swimsuits over to try in the Hot Tub.
You guys need a similar winter activity....!
