This is a wireless set btw.
This is the keyboard I'm using right now. I had bought it with my old computer about a year ago. I am not using the mouse for two reasons. 1) I can't find it
and 2) I had spilled a sweet drink on it, and the buttons would stick.
I have really enjoyed this keyboard a lot. All the function keys are completely programmable. You can open programs, files, macro them for certain keystrokes, etc.
There is a scroll wheel on the actual keyboard for internet surfing.
The media keys are very handy for iTunes. Because most keyboards you cannot control the tracks unless iTunes is in the foreground. This keyboard can do it while playing MoH if you'd like. There is a media button, which opens the default media program (or any other thing u want, just like the other buttons) and three presets to do once again anything u want. In all, there are 36 completely programmable buttons. Which I utilize to the fullest.
The buttons are very responsive, but also give feedback so you actual know you hit them.
The mouse is also very nice. It has a up/down and side to side scroll wheel. A zoom in and out button, and reset zoom button. And a back and forward button, all of course completely programmable. The right and left click buttons were VERY responsive, and once again gave feedback. You barely had to touch them, but they made a distinct click sound every time.
(Vinny, the mouse was also a little larger, but fit a right hander very nicely. Would recommend if you can find a lefty.)
There is only one complaint I have about this set. That is the wireless receiver it has. It is on the bulkier side. It is about 3" long x 2" wide x 1" tall. With a cord length of 5 feet or so.
This never bothered me with my desktop, but it isn't as mobile for a laptop.
Overall a very good buy I think for only 60-70ish bucs. I haven't been disappointed yet.
