Your right Vin, It probably wasn't the best source .
I will make sure that I use a more "credible" source, the next time I post something political ,if at all.
Since I have nothing more to add relevant to the topic of "source" , I will sign off from the thread .
This has been quite a titillating exchange , Thx

Can you show proof that what Lost quoted is false? Obama's campaign is what is a load of S&$T! He shovels it fast and deep. In any debate setting it is not the duty or responsibility of one side to prove, defend, or support what the other side has purported. Further, there is not ONE shred of proof (citation of source(s) deemed credible on the subject of discussion by the average person) provided to substantiate ANY of the assertions in Lost's post. The simple fact is that many, part, or even ALL of the points may in fact be true. But to simply throw out such things without substantiating them is wrong IMHO. And to blindly believe them as fact is foolish... again, IMHO. You are the one that became defensive and swearing. I was inviting you to defend your own statement since it seams to have offended you. IMHO you are mistaken, should the opposing party call foul and disagree the burden of proof is upon them to prove how it is false or their view point has been falsely damaged. IMHO there was no call for calling it a load of S**T or giving a frogs water tight a$$. These are not beneficial or productive in the discussion and only breed anger and name calling. Thus getting you the goal you wish.. To spiral the conversation away from the topic you do not like over to an argument. Typical lib move IMHO. And I never said I agreed or disagree with LC's post

GOOD STUFF? Come on.... Lost, you are actually quoting a GAMING website and an obviously right slanted second site for political facts??? It makes me laugh! What next, asking Big Bird from Sesame Street to choose McCain's running mate? What a load of S&$T! LOL Hi Vin, Please enlighten us all on which of these "loads of S)(*&^ T" are false..... BTW, A right leaning source does not necessarily dismiss the information as false. This is not usually the case with "left" leaning sources. You gotta admit that the left has some pretty wacko groups, sites, activists, and a complaisant media behind them to advance their agendas.... That's how I see it anyway... The Pvt. (Drill Here, Drill Now!) We are in agreement that BOTH sides have plenty of wackos in both politics AND media As to the source being to the right, I have no idea if it is or not... it was a video gaming site. Who could find that site credible on anything but video gaming?

I simply assterted my belief that the source for the information was not credible. I still assert that.

I've read, heard, or seen almost all of those things about Obama in multiple locations/media, and they have the consistent ring of truth to them. And while it isn't usually necessary in an American court of law for the target of a derogatory statement to prove the statement false, in the arena of ideas (politics), it is standard practice when that something appears to the average person of being true or even quite possible, especially when it is in response to a statement or claim made by the very person now being questioned.
Oh wait, I forgot, we're not supposed to question Obama, that's "unfair."

You DEMAND that people blindly believe any stupid thought that wanders through an enviro-wacko's head about global warming (or any of a number of subjects), then hypocritically throw a fit about proper documentation on something that is easly checked.

I do not expect anyone to believe most of what they read on the net, especially from overly biased left or right sources. Perhaps if you had read what I said you would understand it. For the final time, what i am saying is that the site that was used as reference for part of the post was not credible by any reasonable standard. I am in no way hypocritical. I fail to see the basis for continued attacks on me for stating something that all of us should readily see.

Well you should not be hearing much more about Clinton.. she is slinking off into the corner with her tail firmly between her thunder thighs. She has been defeated.
I would be worried about Obama getting in if I were you over there, he wants to cut and run. Where does that leave the British troops? Sitting there with their asses in the breeze holing the bag.
He has no clue.
Rant over.

I get a little miffed when I see elected officials already hired to do a job, (like Senator, or State Rep), and they are off campaigning for another while still getting paid for the job they are neglecting. I would like to see that one CHANGED that myself. Before anyone can run for any other office, they must finish their present term at what ever position they are presently holding. Then they can go and campaign their tails off all they like. And what is up with this? Obama is running off overseas to visit with country officials.... now? And just what does he think he will accomplish with that trip? "Hello good Sirs. I am Obama Bin Loafing. I just thought I would pop in to let you guys know that I am going to be the next president of the United 57 States of America." Most all Politicians really piss me off the way that they can squander our money on whatever they think they want or need and whenever they want it too. Our city just built this new super colossal, very ornate and very expensive public library. First of all, the libraries of today are getting used less and less every year because of the internet. And second of all, there is absolutely no friggin reason to make that building so elaborate. What were they thinking? "Hey. If we really Doll this thing up, we may get more people in here. And if we get more people in here using the facility, we will get more money to help pay for the building.... oh yeah, that's right. The library DOESN'T MAKE ANY MONEY. It is 100% expense to the City so there is no revenue to collect. Oops, guess we didn't think that one through. We could have built a simple square brick building that would have cost 1/10th the amount to incarcerate all these dang books that no one checks out anyway." Silly's rant is now over

Lost Child,
Thank you for posting that list. I was aware of a couple of things mentioned but not the facts regarding his family history and his relatively recent conversion from Islam.
This information is qute shocking. It contradicts the image of him presented by the media and makes you wonder what else they have concealed regarding his past.
I was voting for McCain regardless.

Our boarders being water helps as well :-)

Sorry you feel that way, guess we should have stayed home an just worried about our own borders in the 1940's while the blitz was taking down your buildings. After all we probably could have ended the war with Japan a lot faster if we had not worried about Europe.
I thank God for the British troops helping us today they deserve our respect and support also. This goes for all the other countries involved also.
Take a lesson from the cut and run French. It did not take long for the terrorists to strike them after they pulled out.

Garp, sorry, mate, but when you finally come to realize that the "so-called war on terror" IS a world war, just with combatants, methods, weapons, strategies, goals, and battlefields unlike any before it, it might be too late, but our President, unlike the one before him, his buddies who tried to replace him, our democrat-controlled congress, and the stuffed-shirt empty-headed Obama, has been actively leading the world defense to keep us safe, free, and strong. I just wish he were even more pro-active.
*we'll end it wherever it is*
