notice u said 1 of the best ,then you've never been 2 pizzaburgh, with the kielbasa& kraut ,beer & pirogies outside of HEINZ FIELD I would give my left nut to go to a Steelers game at Heinz Field!! They are my Favorite team. Do you live close? Could I come and stay with you? I would even let you buy tickets for the game. So what game are we going to? |

I am so confused. I thought he was talking about football, not soccer. He said a real man's game, one with hard physical contact, not one with pretty legs and flowing locks. And what the heck is is American Rugby? And the USA has a team in your world cup? Who pays for that, hope it isn't me!!!

Ok Football (the real one) is not just a game!!! its a way of life, now the top prem team is West ham though some may disagree, the top world team is ENGLAND (and yes rooney may play).

Wait, this was actually on US radio yesterday, about the games, and at work morning report yesterday, 3 of my colleagues actually talked about it excitedly (never mind that they're from Romania, Spain, and India, while the rest of us, all American born and raised, had no idea what they were talking about or why they found it so interesting. Oh, and the 3 "foreigners" all knew "poor USA," in the brackets with.......uh, I don't remember, someone usually good, ranked 2 in world, or something).
But then I found out it's not actually football at all, it is soccer, this "World Cup" thing! You know, that sport for those who can't hit a jump shot, softball, baseball, or running fullback. What kind of a stupid game is it that you can't use your hands in? Or you risk neck fractures and brain damage, a la Mohammed Ali dementia, just to "pass" or "hit" the ball??? Or one where you kick a ball sideways, against the normal angle and function of the human knee, using your lower extremity in effect as a golf club???
You had me going there for a while, Garp and Pops, I thought you were discussing something real. Good one! Now pull the other one.
