Wow! I just watched Act 3. It was not what I expected, at all!
Be sure to watch the credits for the names of the villains (Pink Pummeler, Purple Pimp, Dead Bowie, etc.)!

Interesting, Doogie Howser won...lol, Mel would have been good in Starship Troopers also I bet, The FireFly series was very cool. They even did a movie after the series was done.

Yes, unexpected, but very well done, I thought. Just the right touch of sadness and irony. I loved the understated humor, too. I look forward to the DVD with all the extras, including more cast songs.
And I was very impressed with NPH's singing voice; I did see him on youtube doing the little orphan boy part of the Fleet Street Barber play in NY (blocking on actual title, but we talked about it here recently) and he was good in that, too.

The DVD will have, reportedly, loads 'o extras, including extra songs with the cast. Other than that, I think it is already a finished work in three acts.
You can view the online comic about Capt. Hammer and Dr. Horrible, however.
Of course, the power of the dollar might influence Joss Whedon to do more eps or a new series? One can hope, and one can write, email, and tell friends about it (hint hint, what do you think I've been doing?).
