Yes, I sometimes get woken up by my own snoring. Its an odd feeling actually. Luckily I don't have a wife to punch me in the gut when I start snoring

the only sleep problem i have is snoring, sometimes it's so loud it even wakes me up. it was driving my wife crazy, so she would sleep on the couch. but i only seem to snore when i'm really tired and worn out. we went to a local home show and found this product called snore no more, it sure works, i haven't snored since using it, and it also helps you to fall asleep. LOL, I get this image of massive hooks and chains keeping your mouth open and a heavy mallet cocked over your face with a sound detector set to fire the mallet if your sound reaches "snore" level!

Lol, that would solve the problem. User would never fall asleep, therefore no snoring problem.

Its 4:45 am. I hate being isolated from the rest of the world. Everybody I know wants to get up at stupid-o-clock in the morning and do stuff, and I always get left out. Everybody thinks I'm lying about it. Like its even remotely plausable that I would pick something that never benefits me, frequently hurts me, and FAITHFULLY stick to that lie for 25 years. How can people believe that? One of these sleep-deprived days I'm going to end up beating someone to death for saying "Just go to bed earlier" to me again. In addition to being a liar, apparently I'm too retarded to think of that solution on my own.

Wow, Lamron, you sure sound tortured. I'm sorry, man.
I know that when I'm left alone, with no work demanding I show up at 8 AM, I tend to go to bed at 3 to 4 in the AM, sleep well until 11 AM to 12 noon, and do just fine. However, I can adapt and do the usually sleep cycles and work times, so it's not an impediment. And I don't have friends of any circadian cycles, or circles, anyway, so that's moot!
You're not a retard, so you know the only real solution for you is to find a job that lets you work evenings. Socially, you'll have to find a different group of friends, one that are availalble early early mornings before you go to bed and afternoons after you sleep before you go to work.
Self-employment in gunsmithing, gaming, network/pc setups, overnight trucking, night guard/courier, etc. might be down your alley.
Again, you've thought about all this.
About the only thing I can suggest is that there might be an overtone of chronic depression IN ADDITION TO THE SLEEP DISORDER. A low dose anti-depressant might help you tolerate not being able to do the "proper" sleep cycle your body wants. It might also help with weight loss/appetite suppressant, which most Americans find helps with all sorts of things including better sleep, less sleep apnea, happier social interactions, etc.
So, just a suggestion, you can ask your doctor privately about a low dose trial course of a couple of months and see if it helps at all.
Best wishes. You know it's always the most gifted who are the most tortured by nature.

Though I do not suffer the same condition, in the last almost 2 years I suffer the same symptoms. After the wreck I can no longer sleep with out interruption anymore. I frequently am awake until 3 or 4 AM due too the pain and inability too get comfortable enough too sleep. When the sleep does come it is fit full and interrupted because of anatomical positioning. When I turn in my sleep my neck pitches and the pain wakes me.
You are not a retard Lam, not even close. As I am finding those that do not suffer any symptoms of what you have will not understand and jump to false conclusions. I am sorry they treat you this way as it is quit narrow minded of them in this day of information and tech understanding.
My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I wouldn't blame you in the least if you decided to at least beotch-slap the bastid who tries to offer you an obviously simple and wrong answer to you for your malady.
...that may cheer you up a bit, ;D
