I usually just leave the Breakthrough disk in the drive and just click on the shortcut to start it. Having trouble with my computer starting with the disk in. Once I take the disk out and reboot I have no problems.
Was looking for a fix? Thought maybe there was a way to put the breakthough game in my computer permanently so that I didn't need to even put the disk in the drive. Is this a good idea to do or not?

LOL, OK, not sure why but couldn't get it to work. put it in my MOHAA folder. It says that you have to have the 2.4 version. I can only assume that I have it. guess I just need to mess with it some. Thanks Lost should have know that it was already in there somewhere.

If you didn't download and install the V2.4 official BT patch, then you don't have it. I keep telling you guys, patch your game! medalofhonor.filefront.com/file/Breakthrough_Patch;21388

Once you patch it . You put it in your MOHAA folder it should ask if you want to replace the one there . You do , but once you do your original desktop shortcut is no good . You need to copy and paste new one to the desktop .

When you replaced it and it didn't work you deleted it to try again . therefore you don't have a shortcut anymore. You can try putting the new No-CD shortcut in your folder then copy and paste from there to your desktop .
Also you can go to add and remove programs in your control panel. On Breakthrough click remove .... you will get an option of repairing or removing , you can try repairing it then using the No-CD patch.

Just find the moh_Breakthrough.exe in your MOHAA. Right click on it and select "Create Shortcut". Move the shortcut it creates to your desktop.
I think A_ROOKIE enjoys making things more complicated than necessary. LOL
