Never ask what kind of computer a person uses--if it's a Mac, he'll say; if not, why embarrass him?

Lamron, as of about 1 week ago, the forums are showing up "NEW" after I submit a post, and the "NEW" is for my post!!! In the past, it only showed "NEW" for someone else's new posts, not mine (which makes sense). Has something changed with forums settings?

I've noticed this annoyance too. There was an update to the forum software a couple weeks ago and that seems to have caused it.

Have the same problems at DVT also. And never had it until after the update.

That has been happening to me for a long long time. It wasn't enough of an annoyance to say anything though.

I noticed that as well. Two weeks sounds about right, Red.
After I read or add to the bottom of a thread, I will click on the little link that says "back to top" and then hit a new topic. Seems to work every time that way.

I didn't know where else to post this in it's own section soooo...
Has anyone tried to make a new topic? I can't do it with either IE or FF.

If you want to start a new thread, you need to click "New Thread".
Did you suddenly forget how to use the forums? Early onset Alzheimer's? LOL ;D

Yeah, Major, that "New Topics" button you highlighted with your manly hot pink arrow, it gives you a page with the most recent new threads started on the forums. It's not the button to use to add a new thread, as Lam said.

OMG as soon as I saw what you guys said I looked and realized that FOR SOME UNKNOWN REASON I started to associate New Topics with New Thread...I feel totally like a Major dumbass...again. I've used it idk how many times but for some reason...DUH ME! In my defense of the florescent pink. I like those colors on dark backgrounds, ie the lime green too. As a matter of fact, as soon as I find a small dog crate I'm going to build an old fashioned prop up and fall trap to capture a few of the neighborhood feline pests the neighbors keep feeding, spray them with a generous coating of fine hair care removal products and highlight them with some florescent orange and pink traffic paint, non toxic of coarse. Again I'm sorry for the dumbass attack I had, not sure what made me start looking at that button instead on the one I should have been. [smacks head] oops, forgot how to do something else now...

LOL, np, Major. I like the highlight color you chose, it works well. I was just having fun with you!

LOL, np, Major. I like the highlight color you chose, it works well. I was just having fun with you! lol I know that. The over abundance of neighborhood felines just gave me something to vent some of it out on I've really been more uptight than usual lately, and to top it off my brand new fuel pump I had put in last summer broke, AGAIN! it goes way beyond that, this ones just the latest. [gaaahk]
