This really sucks!!! They are killing my scifi fixes!!!! They are running the final episodes of SGA - Stargate Atlantis also soon...I didn't know they where going to cancel so soon wth?!

I still want to start my own network of continuing series with limited...SEVERLY, of interrupted commercials! ---don't we all?!?-- ;D

Didn't mean to ursurp the thread redrock sry...I'm just ranting.

Has anyone here seen a tv show from the 80's recently??? ie a-team, knight rider, THE FALL GUY!!!!? these shows are like 45 to 50 minutes long!!...and how long does that leave for commercials??

I don't know about you guys, but when I want to watch a show on tv, I expect it to be like it was when I was little...ie hurry to get the popcorn refill bc the origioanal BSG was comeing back on in like 30 seconds?! and right after that was buck rodgers.

Need a new network like fox started out...good! no sports cept for sunday, but M-F it was cartoons in morning, something during day not sure...lol was in school...right after school it was 3 stooges, GI Joe, Transformers, Spiderfriends....sry got off track...point is, Fox lost track of what got them started in my opinion and they -everyone- just plays too many 'd mutha 'n piece of monkey commercials! TV really pisses me off any more, they kill the good stuff that helps us peons tolerate our lives, and replace it with a good movie version every year or two....and to end this...Sanctuary SUCKS ASS!!!! Who wants to watch Amanda speak another accent when you know otherwise??

I used to watch the sci fi channy all the time.. now rarely. Mostly they have crap like Ghost hunters, and other such shows on that I find very boring.

Yep, we're in a current SciFi depression. Sigh.
And I like Smallville too, for all that teen/young adult Angst!
But mostly for watching Erica Durance.

I guess if it is a sci fi depression...they keep canceling stuff, there won't be anything left except stuff I don't watch and commercials, and way way too much of that as it is. lol...make it stop.

well, watched all 10 webisodes and got to say... didn't ..expect the gay thing...er.
and currently as of this it's a commercial go figure! Been watching the sci-fi bsg2003 all day and it came too the new one and so far....hold let you know in a sec if I change my mind...it's back on.

edit - hmmmm 35 min in... wow, hmmm, the thing thats bugging me is thats in the origional series is that starbuck... which was a guy, the one that played Face Man on A-Team, crashed on a planet and befriended a centurion. They rebuilt a generic ship out of parts to save a baby that was the smart kid that lead them all. This is weird. I know they won't take the same script but wow!

edit edit - I'll leave with this. If sci-fi wants to do the the dumb f'n crap cancellations they do then fine...they just better do Buck Rodgers again!

I don't remember the old series plots at all. The new one is really dark and gritty and enjoyable, not campy at all. Tonight's new episode, revealing the 5th skin job cylon, was no exception. It was good. I look forward to the rest of the series.

Yes, that is cool. I saw a little info about SGU a few days ago. It said something of the plot was about a 9th chevron leading to the ancient ship that deposited the gates on planets or something like that.

I don't remember hearing anything about an unknown chevron though so I'm going to have to look into that.

Now this is odd, that's not the episode I thought it was.

The part in the new BSG brought back this particular episode in memory because of starbuck seeing herself crashed on the 13th tribe planet. I'll find it eventually, disregard last post, although it is an interesting episode.

I have found Stargate very very cheesy, and so I haven't watched it. DS, you like it? You too, major?
I just bought the Space Above and Beyond DVD's--that went one season, and I liked it back when it showed (on USA Network, I think) in the mid to late 90's? I'll let you all know how it is as a full one year series (I never saw all 23 episodes). Think BSG (dark, gritty, adult) meets Spaceship Troopers (marines kill aliens).

AAAAAAAAAAAAAACK!!!! Stargate CHEE CHEE CHEESY? Not sure what to say to that other than everyone has their tastes so no harm no foul. BUT IT'S REAL I TELL YOU!!!! IT'S ON TV, IT MUST BE REAL.....LOL

I understand how you feel though. I feel the same about Sanctuary on scifi, it just gives off that generic feel to me and can't get into it.
