I've made several comments and references to this movie in the past in the old DM forums, but I'm curious as to who here has seen it and what they think about it.
I'm a comic book type movie fan/ Evil Dead/ Monty Python type stuff...lol Bruce Campbell Rules... I was just curious if anyone has seen this movie or not and their thoughts on it.
I love Bruce Campbell as an actor, but I don't understand why he doesn't have the lead in Burn Notice...wierd. Thought him and Sam Rami were best buds lol. And yes I know Burn notice isn't Sams show, but still, he should have had the lead.
...UH OH... a Fire Fly paradox??? LOL...saw Nathan Fillion in a wishy washy girl movie called the waitress I think, and I also think it was done after the Fire fly series but havn't looked it up yet, just happen to catch party of it.

I REALLY loved Mystery Men. Loved the pseuod-super heroes with their "powers." Blue Rahjah throwing silverware (and still living with mom, and stealing her silver to use!), Mr. Angry with his face of rage, etc. Loved it! Even that evil liberal babe, Jeannine Garafaollacantspellitwhatever, her cosmic bowler character talking to dead dad in a ball was a hoot! I have ordered the first two seasons of Burn Notice (hope I didn't get that confused, maybe only the first season, can't remember, ordered that and first two seasons of Saving Grace at same time, but only SG s.1 has come) and I've kind of sampled BN on tv. Bruce is huge....literally....so he's lost his luster as a #1 male star, and he's better as a supporting character, even comic relief, instead of being the number 1 male actor. But I really loved him as The King of Thieves on Xena/Hercules and his own short-lived tv series Jack of All Trades (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0220906/) of him as a similar character, and his Evil Dead/Army of Darkness movies (this is my BOOM STICK!!!!) were fun. And LOL, when I first read your entry, Major, I thought you said "....Elvis Dead"......instead of "......Evil Dead....../", and I know why, too, was thinking of another Bruce movie: www.imdb.com/title/tt0281686/ Bubba Ho-tep!!!! That's a really strange one, and funny!!!!! Joe Bob says "Check it out!"

Yep, Waitress is 4 years after FireFly and 2 years after Serenity, and it's a chick flick. The morals of it, based on the synopses (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0473308/plotsummary) make it not at all interesting to me. Why did he do that one? I guess he needed the money. I haven't seen the tv show he's on now, Castle, but I gather he's a boy-toy in it, too, or eye candy for the ladies, etc. Again, a guy's gotta produce while his money-maker is still working for him--compare Bruce Campbell....oh, wait, I did, above. LOL.

well, that explains the waitress movie.
LOL Buba Ho-Tep, that was an interesting take on what happened to Elvis.
WOW, ordering Burn Notice, I might have to start getting it also, my wife like it too.
With the mystery men characters, I thought it was funny that invisible boy could only be invisible when know one was looking along with the disco gangsters lmao.
Super Hero Tryouts where good too.
PMS Avenger- I only work 4 days a month. Anybody have a problem with that?

I am watching spider-man 3 again right now and wondering- Is the the reservation guy in the french restaurant Bruce Campbell?
It's one of those kinda looks like but not sure bc of his accent moments, but he moved his head a certain way and it sparked that OMG never realized moment lol

I'll have to look re: Campbell, but I wouldn't be surprised. I know Xena and The King of Thieves had cameo roles in the first two Spiderman movies, given the Sam Ramie (sp?) tie-in to them and Spiderman. I hope you caught them in those movies.

I can't remember, but I think Ramii's brother, Ted, who played Joxter the Mighty in the Xena/Hercules series, also has some cameo roles in those movies, too.

First season, 10th episode, "False Flag." Note that 1st episode and 11th episode are Pilot ("Pilot") and Season One Finale ("Loose Ends"), respectively, and each is actually a double-length episode (or two episodes combined, part I and part II for each story). I watched it, and enjoyed it. I miss weekly new episodes of Xena, even if it was homo-erotic (lesbo).
