I recorded it, waiting for chance to watch with wife.
We're been watching "The Wire" on DVD--I got a good deal on all 5 seasons. Except for lots of vulgarity (cussing), it's very very good.

Serenity was on last weekend on Syfy, and it's on again right now. I wonder if they might run the series again. It'd be nice.

Finished Season 1 of the wire, now working on Season 2. Again, it's very good, very intellectual, just very vulgar. I'm recording the latest episodes of Burn Notice, 3 so far, and we'll watch those as a group probably later. FireFly the series is definitely worth buying and having, to watch every couple or 3 years. It was such a superb series! And so many of those actors are in a bunch of other SciFi/Fantasy shows now! Just finished watching the latest season of Sons of Anarchy, too--it had a surprise ending (at least to me) that was enjoyable. Another vulgar show, for sure, but good drama and action. Timothy Olyphant has a show returning in February on TNT, Justified, having him as a US Marshall in Kentucky, and my wife and I really enjoyed that one and are looking forward to the new episodes. www.collider.com/2010/05/03/justified-renewed-fx-second-season-timothy-olyphant/Smallville is winding down, with its last season. I didn't start watching that until about the 7th or 8th season (in season 10, and final, now, I think) because of the Justice League and other comic book characters (Aquaman, Hawkman, etc.) that I enjoyed as a child. I mainly like watching Erica Durrance, though, who plays Lois Lane! Another show I like, about cops in LA, is coming back for a "third season," Southland: www.clicker.com/tv/southland/I think that's this month real soon, or maybe in early January. And there's one more episode of the first (?last) season of The Walking Dead, airing tonight. It's like Romer's Day of the Dead series of movies, but for tv, and it's been an enjoyable Sunday night diversion. Set and filmed in and around Atlanta: www.amctv.com/originals/The-Walking-Dead/

Smallville rocks..especially this last episode with the parallel universe. I'm still trying to figure out if that Lionel came back through, or if that was rapid aging Lex clone aged to that point hmmmm
Whats was really cool about that last episode is they used Ultra man correctly as Clarks evil counterpart. When it comes to shows based on comics I get irritated when things in the shows don't match up the the origional story content of the comics, ....Marvel movies and some of the animated toons are notorious for this. just me being picky I guess
Too bad when they are going to end the show, it gets even better. It is rumored that a replacement show for smallville will take it's place but I have no other info on that so if you find anything out let me know.
I watched a sons of anarchy once but I couldn't get into it. The boy may have been distracting me if I remember right.
I'm glad you mentioned walking dead..I saw a couple of them and the next week come around and I missed it, then I forgot about it till now...just switched channel and they are doing a marathon so I can catch up. The last episode I saw was the one guy cuffed to the pipe is where it ended, that next one is whats one now hehehe

Thanks for the reminder on Burn Notice finale.
Oh, and re: Lionel and Alexander (young Lex clone), previews of upcoming episodes (resuming in Jan or Feb) show Lionel talking to a young teenager saying "you're my only remaining son" (or some such thing), so it's really Lionel and not grown up Alexander.

I believe I read on the blogs somewhere that Caprica was cancelled--too few viewers or some such thing. It was kind of just a soap opera, and without some truly engaging characters or subplots IMHO, especially the pseudo-gangster story, but I was enjoying the telling of the "birth" of the cylons through the one inventor/programmer and his daughter/programmer. SyFy ran a 5-hour Caprica block earlier this week, calling it "Caprica: The Final 5 Episodes, Beginning (that date)" which, of course, they didn't advertise in advance at all (or I completely missed it!) and, as far as I can tell, were all 5 new episodes. So of course, I found out about it too late, could set up my DVD recorder to get only the last 3 episodes, and I can't find where the first 2 of those episodes is repeating soon or available on line (yet). And after seeing the first 12 episodes, I will be bummed if I can't at least finish this single-season "series." And now they're planning ANOTHER BSG spin-off series, called Blood and Chrome (or some such thing) about a young Admiral Adama as a fighter pilot going up against the Cylon fighters, and they're promising more action with that one. One can hope for that change.
