Another Die Hard? What's the title, "Dead" ? lol I'm on my way to look at the trailer now. __________________________________________________
I watched the new Total Recall finally...
It's pretty cool. It's kind of a James Bond in The Fifth Element landscape. Let me know if it seems that way to you guys when you see it.

I really enjoyed the new Total Recall. Of course, I would have watched two hours of Kate Beckinsale and Jessica Biel just standing on slowly revolving platforms, so all the action and explosions where just bonus eye-candy for me.

The new timeline is not quite the goody-goody love and free sex and no one has to work and there's no hunger or poverty and no capitalism future that Rodenberry saw in the 60's, is it?

The Star Trek canon is so confused with the TV series, movies, and books that no matter what story you tell, someone is going to say you got it wrong and have some reference to prove it. They needed a plausible way to continue the Star Trek story, while being able to ignore any particulars of that universe's history when needed. The revised timeline concept is acceptable in science fiction, so it was the best and probably only way to make it work.
Overall, I like the new twist on the characters.

Agree. Would like to see a Data reboot, but Brent Spiner is aging, ? too much for the role?

IronMan 3 was pretty cool. I was disappointed in 2 things though. The Mandarin was a fictional or rather a fake character. I guess they didn't want to get into his magical powers as a real character.
Also the scene after the credits was just Stark talking to Banner. idk if it leads to another Hulk movie or not, it didn't really imply anything.
I did see a trailer for another Johnny Depp Movie that looked good. The Lone Ranger, and also saw a little more about the new Superman movie.

The new forum software has "spoiler" tags. I edited your post to hide part of it.

I see lots of new things, I'm glad you showed me the spoiler tags, but I hope no one actually took it as a spoiler. I only mentioned it bc I didn't think you guys knew who the Madarin actually was instead of the movie interpretation. If I was going to spoil anything I would have told about Spiderman's appearance in the movie. Not really a big deal though since everyone died in the next scene. oops, just kidding

I saw IM3 today. I enjoyed it, but there were things I didn't understand. Where is Jarvis housed? If it's in just one suit that can run out of power, then how is he still around to control 30 or 40 suits at once? Or wasn't he in the supercomputer at Stark's Malibu place, that I expected would have been destroyed. And all those suits down in "the celler" at Malibu--had we seen those, or was that some super secret place below Stark's lab, which I thought had been thoroughly destroyed. And what's with that gizmo in Stark's chest--I don't remember, I thought it was a superpowered pacemaker or something, to keep his heart alive, and if it were removed, he'd die. And how in the world did the Malibu place get destroyed but Pepper, just outside on the other side, not get hurt (without the suit)? And supposedly, Stark has ?cured Pepper of the extremis injection? Maybe I can find these answers on wiki or something, but I thought I'd get simple answers here first. And I rather enjoyed the Stark-Banner interaction at the end, I was hoping to see more of Bruce Banner and the Hulk.

Can't tell you much on the Hulk at the moment, but Jarvis is everywhere. He's the ultimate AI.... Artificial Intelligence. He is connected to everything Stark by real time satellite/or other....super WiFi I guess. He is the head butler more or less and orders around either other bots to vacuum and whatnot, or tell the cooks Tony wants an omelet with fresh mushrooms. He is the home built trusted best friend inside anything computer tech that he builds.
In IM2 the chest piece was reveled to be poisoning him, that's why he made the new element and went from the circle chest piece to the triangle.
Now that you've seen IM3, if you caught it, the chest piece was there only to keep the magnets powered to keep shrapnel from going into the heart...more or less. That along with extremis was cured...In The MOvie. In Iron Man armored adventures, Extremis was the thing that cured him of his health issues and gave him mental powers to call his armor pieces at will, and he didn't even have a chest piece in the cartoon...he was portrayed as a teenager. In the comics however, he did overcome the need for the chest piece, but honestly why at the top my head at the moment I can't remember.
