lol, it's a shame none of these are legit. After I got it I had to make sure dads spam thing for thunderbird was working right. Earlier that day he told me about the guy that called him and told him his computer was downloading stuff. In the end after he'd got the guy off the phone I told him if he calls back to tell him 1 of 2 things. The first one being "Well you can contact my sys admin @" and give the guy my phone number. the second being to tell the guy "You can contact my sys admin @ the prosecutors office..." and give him my number if he hadn't hung up yet

Dad is getting kind of lapsey in the memory dept. and I'm afraid someone might actually scam him. So when he said he never sees any of the emails like the above I described I felt better. Can someone tell me how this works.

I get a spam scam message in my email from some foreign email addy.

Now in the To: section of the email is an email address that isn't mine?!

Why do I get it, if my email addy isn't in the To: section?

It sounds like they made a mistake when they were faking the E-Mail info. Its possible to change the "To" and "From" boxes to give completely false info and say anything you want.
