Indiana state elections where held today and six term RINO Dick Lugar was finally thrown out for being a liberal Obama lover.
He was beaten by Richard Mourdock, formerly State Treasurer. He's one of the good guys!

Richard on the Issues
Eliminate Wasteful Spending
Richard will vote to put an end to wasteful “earmark” spending and will make balancing the federal budget by cutting spending his top priority. Richard has already proposed a plan which cuts federal spending by 7.6 trillion and balances the budget in ten years.
Repeal Obamacare
Richard believes that Obamacare is unconstitutional and wrong for America. As a U.S. Senator, he will work to ensure that it is repealed immediately.
Secure our Borders
Richard opposes the DREAM Act and any other legislation that would provide amnesty for illegal immigrants. He believes that we must act immediately to secure our borders and enforce the law.
Protect Life
Richard is unapologetically pro-life and will work to stop federal funding for abortion. He believes that Roe v. Wade represents a serious misreading of the original intent of those who established our Constitution.
Stop Liberal Judges
Richard believes that judges should respect the original intent of the Founders when interpreting the meaning of the Constitution. He will oppose the appointment of activist liberal justices like Elena Kagan and Sonia Sotomayor to the U.S. Supreme Court.
Stand up for the 2nd Amendment
Richard has earned an “A” rating from the NRA. He understands that gun control does not equal crime control and that the right to keep and bear arms is an individual right guaranteed by the Constitution.
Preserve Social Security and Medicare
The solvency of these programs must be maintained in order to ensure that we keep our commitment to those currently receiving benefits as well as those nearing retirement. Richard supports the “Ryan Plan” as a good first step to preserving these programs.
Establish a Sound Energy Policy
As a geologist, Richard will bring a much-needed scientific perspective to a debate dominated by lawyers and politicians. Richard believes in creating jobs and economic opportunity by unleashing our Nation’s natural resource potential. He opposes any type of job killing “cap and trade” or other similar legislation as proposed by the Obama administration.
Respecting the Constitution
Richard’s goal is to reduce the size of the federal government to fit within the limits set for it by the Constitution. Richard is not just a Conservative Republican, he is a Constitutional Conservative who understands that the federal government was intended by the Framers of our Constitution to be a government of limited and clearly enumerated powers. Only by insisting that these limits are respected, can we maintain the tradition of free enterprise and limited government that has made America great.
Reducing Taxes and Eliminating the IRS
Richard supports the elimination of the IRS and moving our system of taxation away from a system that taxes income and productivity to a system that taxes consumption. The federal tax code has become too complicated with too many loopholes and is not a fair and efficient system of raising revenue. Even more important, is that any new tax system be combined with cuts in spending and a Balanced Budget Amendment to the Constitution that also places a cap on future spending as a percentage of GDP. Taking these steps is the key to restoring permanent economic growth.
Accountability for the Federal Reserve and Promoting Sound Monetary Policy
Richard supports efforts to require an audit of the Federal Reserve as a means of ensuring accountability. Richard also believes that the Federal Reserve should narrowly focus its efforts on promoting stability and strengthening the dollar rather than attempting to artificially control such economic factors as employment levels and interest rates. He opposes the Fed’s program of so-called “quantitative easing.”
Supporting a Strong National Defense and our Military Veterans
Richard supports our men and women in uniform and believes that a strong national defense is the best strategy to deter aggression. Richard believes that military force should be used only when a vital national interest is at stake and that any U.S. mission should come with clearly defined goals and objectives. Richard supports our Veterans and Wounded Warriors and will work to ensure that our Nation makes good on its commitment to those who have risked everything in the service of their Country.
Term Limits
Our Founding Fathers never meant for the U.S. Senate to be a lifetime job. Richard supports term limits for members of the U.S. House and Senate.
