I believe I've got that issue of what you speak about the closet thing.
It was between 1980 and 1985, an Alpha Flight issue I think.
It was a bold move for a storyline, but it made the news and so that

Amazon LinkIt's a post apocalyptic storyline after WWIII.
I'm not sure when the first book was written, but I seem to remember
seeing the original Red Dawn movie around the time I read the first book.
Also, a few of the Mack Bolan aka The Executioner books, not all the hundreds listed
HERE This series was around before I was born.
Written by, which I did not know until now,
Don Pendleton from Little Rock, Arkansas.
Amazone linkThe Executioner also spawned into a comic book.
"The Executioner is often cited as the inspiration for the Marvel Comics character The Punisher."
Source of above quoteI remember hearing this years back, but never put those two together. I guess I just thought The Executioner was
a Golden Age comic character I didn't know, I never even thought to associate it with a paperback novel.
"The series spans #423 installments (as of February 2014)" Also to which I had no idea until now.
