Ok, So time is running out for the "free" Win 10 upgrade. Does anyone use Win10 ? Is this something I should do ??
I am very satisfied with my Win7 Pro., It does everything I want it to do. What are your thoughts/opinions ??

I use Win7 Pro on my Mac and I don't want to switch until I have to. I suspect there will be Win 11 sooner than I will have to change, so I'm waiting. On my COD:UO clan, half use 10, half or so have stuck with 7 or 8. Many of the 10 users have no problems, others hate it. Some have switched back to 7 or 8 after trying it. I really don't know what to think.

I'm staying with Win7 as long as I possibly can. Win10 may or may not be a decent operating system, but I don't like it spying on me or forcing updates whenever it wants.
RedRock: there won't be a Win11. Win10 is the last new operating system Microsoft will be making. Win10 will just be force updated continuously in the future.

I am using win 10 64bit pro. Not an update version. Many things have been fixed and it works just fine for me. It is fairly simple to turn off all the monitoring features, and you can turn off forced updates and choose if you want the update or not. It is a whole different beast than the free update verion I tested on my laptop at release time.

I wasn't aware of the differences for WIN10 Pro. I've been reading descriptions of Home and didn't want it. But if Pro lets you control updates and supports Remote Desktop, then I may have to set up a dual-boot and give it a try.
