UPDATEThe old company, HostFor2Bucks, is retarded. They purchased the domain name for another year, so I can't get it back. I had to select a new website name, so here it is: www.LamronVerse.comThe old temporary address doesn't work anymore, so update your favorites/bookmarks to the new permanent name. Some things still don't work correctly, and obviously all the references to Lamron's Playground are wrong now. But it will work and you can use it to link to the forums. I've got LOTS of work to fix all the labels and links, so you'll gradually see everything be corrected over the next couple of weeks.

Did everyone get the E-Mail I sent out with the new address? I used the new E-Mail software and I'm not sure I formatted the list of addresses correctly.

Ok, it looks like I did format it wrong. Mass E-Mail resent. Hotmail put a test message into a junk folder, so make sure to mark messages from LamronVerse.com as safe/not junk in your E-Mail program.

- Fixed some incorrect text. - New Favicon (the tiny picture next to the page name on your browser tab) Its supposed to look like two planets in orbit around the "L" in the middle. I only have 32x32 to work with, so there's not much room for detail. Still playing with it. - Removed ImageShack uploader. It now costs money to use. I will be setting up a custom image uploading system for the website, for now use www.postimages.org. - I purchased an SSL Certificate, so now the site communication is secure. You'll notice there's now a green padlock in your address bar (on the Homepage, not here in the forums). So now all communication between your browser and the website is encrypted and safe from being observed from the outside. So what does SSL encryption do for you? First thing you'll notice is that the RSS news feeds don't work anymore because they come from an unsecured source, but I'm working on fixing that. The main advantage is that when the storage space is up and running you can securely type in your name and password to access your files. It also means that when I get around to writing an image uploader for the Homepage that all of the links to your pictures will start with HTTPS. Some websites and forums are now requiring secure links to any off-site images to protect against malicious browser extensions from replacing them with adds, or offensive material. GunBroker for example is a site I use that requires secure links.

I got the email, and the new home page works (so far, to the extent I've tried it). Thanks, Lam.

STORAGE TEST
The file storage feature is getting closer to being ready. I set up a dummy account so you can play with the features. Text and image files can be previewed in the browser, and the gear icon next to files gives other options for downloading. Image files also provided premade code for forums and html. Play around with it and see if you can break it, and if you like the features.
Username: demo Password: demo
I will periodically go in and clear out this folder, so it doesn't matter what you do in this account. Don't actually use the image file links in a forum somewhere, they won't last.

Would like the tinyurl feature on the home page whenever you can get it coded.

Got it. The blank space in the middle of the Homepage is where I'm working on writing an entirely new image hosting manager and the TinyUrl function.

Also suggest you add numrich (https://www.gunpartscorp.com/) to your quick links on the homepage. There already is Walmart, Ebay, GunBroker, etc. there. I go to numrich frequently to look for parts and schematics, even if I don't buy. (e-gunparts.com redirects there, if you can't remember, but numrich.com won't go there--e-address squatters grabbed that and numrich won't buy it from them!). www.gunpartscorp.com/

The COD4 server is back up and running. I think I fixed all of the names and file directories.
If we get some people to play, you'll notice that Claymores are no longer available. I'll explain the reason for that later.
Anybody interested in playing? I can turn on the Alert System again if anyone wants it.

The "Storage" service is close to being ready for use. I need a proofreader to go to the log-in page and click the "Terms Of Service" link. Let me know if you find any typos or anything that doesn't make sense or isn't clear.
The plain-text format is because a copy of this text will be automatically copied to all new users main folder.

Unless it's 30 pages of mice-type print, I'll read it this evening or tomorrow.
