Finally after many years of planning,

Officially running last day of 2019

The desk mount isn't entirely set in stone yet as I'm waiting on a vesa bracket for this monitor.
I'll try to get more info on the desk mount tomorrow.





I'll have to reset my conkys and spread them out now, and spend more time in obs studio as it seems going to 3 monitors really messes with the settings

Yes that's a quad mount, but hey why not plan ahead
Actually if this all works out, I'll have an all in one machine test rig, plus an extra monitor for people that say "hey can you look at this for me?"
and still be able to see the tv, bc my conn chair is a recliner after all lol

If for some reason your monitor doesn't have a removable stand and holes, some have vesa brackets available like this

In my case, it was an older monitor, but had vga, dvi & hdmi...I needed the hdmi bc I have gt740 card

I bought three of these about 20yrs ago for 20 bucks each...
I'm on the last living BEST one.
I did one in myself trying to solder something with a crappy soldering tip,
The last 2 have wearing buttons and like to "Misfire or double click" whenever they feel the need.

These trackballs are great, after testing for 20years,
& since I bought 3 of them 20 years ago, this insures spare parts for the future

I've wanted 3 monitors for FP shooters for a long time, but only if I could use the two side monitors at an angle like peripheral vision. Peripheral vision is the one thing that is missing in FP shooters that should be there--it's unnatural not to be able to alert to movement or flashes in your PV and to be able only to look in the direction your head is pointing. But I don't think that will work for FP shooters--it would likely have to be a full side view displayed, and I bet the game engines or the other players would "see" (pardon the pun) that as a hack or exploit.

My Mac is aging badly. 9 years old and not enough VRAM to run the new games (vid processor might work, but probably too old, too; don't care enough to check), and my built-in DVD drive (yes, it has that) doesn't burn half the time, although it reads reliably. With apple, you can't just plug in an external DVD drive if there is an internal one, it won't read the external one. I could replace it, probably, but I'd still have the same old VRAM situation. Plenty of RAM and CPU and a huge monitor, but now I can't boot up in Windows 7 Pro--something happened during an update or something, and my BootCamp launch of Win7Pro just sits there with the spinning beachball of death. So I can't run my fav program (Dragon Naturally Speaking) nor COD4 for servers that need PunkBuster--I can run the Mac version just fine, but I need to re-install it to play on PB-protected servers. Etc. Etc. It's just time to get a new system. I want a new Mac Pro (tower), but that's $6k minimum, and I would still need a monitor, although maybe my current mac desktop could be used as the monitor, don't know. I could get another iMac, but I'm kinda tired of not being able to upgrade or swap out things (see above), even though every Mac I've ever bought still runs just fine the many years later I choose to replace it, and the way apple keeps updating their OS, many of my old programs won't run except in older versions of the OS. There is an iMac Pro, also pricey, but it hasn't been updated itself in 2 or 3 years. So I've been putting off the decision. Soon, though, I won't have a choice, is my fear.

Anyway, I'm glad to see you got a nice new 3-monitor setup.

I'm currently using a 27" main monitor with a side 17" monitor. I've been considering upgrading to a single 34" ultrawide. Still not sure if I'm better off sub-dividing one large monitor or using multiple. A triple setup would be nice if I could have one large one in the center and two smaller on each side, but I would want them to all be the same height. I haven't found a combination of sizes that would allow that.

The special bracket came in today for the middle monitor...Now I got the middle one hung where it's supposed to go, used the fourth slot for a tiny extra monitor for working on computers, and had room for a food test computer -
The laptop is running the extra monitor to test it out... and as a bonus,
I can see the fish tank & the TV woohoo!!!!

Now I can do some stuff
