This is all scrap I've gathered over the last couple years, most of it is cans from last few years, but have things to tear apart yet. I'll leave it at the short version
Kinda mad I didn't catch the gating areas better, but I've got the winter to get more sand, better and cheaper from work. If it wasn't going to rain tomorrow, probly would consider trying again.
With the nature of the sand, pretty sure it's fine quartz sand, locks together grain structure when compressed and gets all grabby <-- technical term
Edit - I have more, but here is the ingot of alloy and a few knife jabs that turned out.

Yesterday managed to pack a mold and do a pour after work before it gets too cold. Bronze came out nice color, think sand got in it made the pits and it shrank on one side. Going to do a vertical cast in the spring, should fix the shrink.
Managed to copy a bat thrower too.
Bronze mix was 4.5 lbs copper .5lb aluminum ...ish
Both turned out pretty good I think, just need more cleaned up.
I just watched the chia seed "walkthrough" again. LOL, the hat, the leather jacket, the shoulder bag, the machete--it was Indiana Jones! Don't know why I missed that the first time around.

WOW, I appreciate the fact you noticed. I've had that jacket, hat and satchel for 30 years, and FINALLY got to wear them all at once. LOL
Edit... Just waiting for an excuse to wear my cloak
Picked up a used Anycubic mono se last Teusday. Some benafits to resin printer over the other, but has downsides too. did a couple test prints.
But already needing to know stuff I seriously should know how to do already, but I did make a hammer not long ago, but need to do some things to this... Only had it a week...gimme a break
