fram filter book.. look under the ford or mercury section it reads marauder(canada) . they must have been only made in canada. click the thumbnail of the red 1970 one it says marauder on the bottom. pontiac makes the firefly it is also just sold only in canada. it replaces the acadian. but i have never seen one. here is the listing from the fram website.

Oh, no, the Mercury Marauder is here in the States, as well. It's a fine looking car...just a beefed up Crown Vic. I've seen several of them prowling the highways around these parts. They seem to appeal to the 40-ish male crowd.

I'd like to put my police interceptor Vic up against one to see if there is any difference.

the listing says(forgot to mention u can click the thumbnails) v8-4.6 litre fuel injection 32 valve (4 per cylinder) dual overhead cam. not sure if the f/inj is simultaneous or synchronous. i'm figuring it's multi-port not throttle body injection.

you should ask your superiors to get the 2006 dodge chargers like the police in New YORK . they got the v6 for use in the bourghs and the v8 interceptors (like mad max lol) for patrol on the highways around the city .

here you go des. couldn't find the exact pic i saw before but it is just a bit different white on the doors not silver with New York emblems . also a police magnum.

My department has looked into the Chargers, but after citing limited trunk space and rear-end crash testing to only 50 mph, we aren't getting them. I don't buy the crash test excuse, but the limited trunk space is a concern, particularly for me. I have to cram a lot of road stuff (flares, cones, blankets, etc, etc) in there, plus my SWAT gear.

I don't remember what the excuse was for not buying Magnums.
