How cheap is cheap? You could use the public library to check out cd's, then upload the music.
I think Walmart does them for 89 cents a download, not 99 as with itunes, but they require specific browsers and don't work on Macs, for example.
Also, Rookie, check with the paranoid crowd over in xid, they have that post going there about downloading the newest movies still in the theaters, they might have a link or two for you.

If you want REALLY cheap (free) you can get limewire. But if you get caught its $100,000 per copywrite infringement. Other than that all I know of is iTunes. Red's idea of checking the CD's out sounds sneaky, I think I might try that ;D

I have used this before...I use the client Bittornado..but Bitlord is supposedly good to www.torrentspy.com/www.bittornado.com/www.bitlord.com/Torrentspy is the search engine....tornado or Lord is the downloading client myself..I pay to belong to a newsgroup and can download anything there at a rate of 300-400 kbs www.usenext.com/they offer a 14 day trial 50gig cap...have their own software which is a search engine too..is better than some other groups where you spend more time downloading the headers to find what you want than downloading the actual"stuff"..oops...150 gig free

I would do that, but the songs I need are songs I don't listen. At least most of them. Like Louie Armstrong and The Birmingham's. I am using them on a DVD I am putting together.

Ok new problem. I bought the music from Urge. I am unable to move it from "My music" to the DVD Creator I am using? It says the songs are protected? In the past when I bought the music I was always able to move it where I wanted it no matter what, I have never had this problem before and was wondering if anyone could help me out with this?? OK update files of type: Audio Files[*.wav;*.mp3;*.wma] file name: Be true to your school.wma This means nothing to me but you guys always seem to need to know this stuff for something. ;D Hope you can help THANKS

You can try burning the protected music to a CD and then ripping them back off the CD using something other than WMP. When you put the CD in the drive, hold down your SHIFT key while closing the drive door. Keep holding it down for about 30 seconds, then use the ripping software.

GOOD CALL BigDaddy!!!Maybe I can get the songs I need from my good friends here at Lamrons Playground. OK here is a list of songs I need.
The Buckingham's- "This is how much I love you"
Louie Armstrong "What a wonderful World"
R. Kelly- "Worlds Greatest"
Sonny & Cher- "I got you babe"
I need these in a mp3 format. This is the only format I have found that works on the system that I am using.
Anything you guys could get me would be GREAT!!!
Thanks
