Victory in Europe Day Victory in Europe Day (V-E Day) was May 8, 1945, the date when the Allies during World War II formally celebrated the defeat of Nazi Germany and the end of Adolf Hitler's Third Reich. ;D

WOO HOOO! Let's celebrate by heading on in to the Playground and shoot at each other... We will take turns being the Germans and surrendering to one another. ;D We need Lamron to add the "white Flag" to our arsenal of weaponry.

Oooh, good call, Beer!
Happy V-E Day indeed! One of the grandest of days when our nation seems to have been at its peak.
I'll take this day as another excuse (in addition to Veteran's Day, the Fourth of July, V-J Day, etc.) to give my solemn thanks and sincerest gratitude to those who eagerly heeded the call, did their duty, and guaranteed the freedom of our nation for another half-century or more (others have contributed since, of course).
Perhaps I'll also use today as justification for starting another watching of the Band of Brothers. Somehow it never gets old.
