I noticed the G-forces immediately when Steve's faces got pulled or stretched back when the pilot went "vertical".

I don't suppose we will ever get to see the rest of the flight.... where Steve loses his chewing gum, and the rest of his lunch.

Steve has more guts than I do..... ;D

That looks like fun! Those pilots are in insanely good physical shape. The Blue Angels don't use compression suits like many pilots, so they have to be the very best at keeping blood up in their head. I have the feeling that they were taking it easy on this guy and could actually kill their passenger without much effort. It is amazing what you can train your body to withstand.

Incredible! I loved the nearly vertical super-fast jump-up after doing 280 knots just above the ground. The ground fell away sooooo fast!

I don't know this, but it this has got to be an false statement. I worked with F-18 pilots for a few years even met the Blue Angles once, and have heard some pretty good stories. I think if a pilot was not wearing his anti-G suit that he could not possibly pull that kind of G-force and not pass out.

I am sure Lamron will find some website or government paper work to support his statement. I am still standing by what I said here even if a look like an a$$ later. ;D ;D

Each pilot's lengthy training day ends with a workout in the gym, building and toning muscles for one reason: the Blue Angels do not wear anti-g suits. Consequently, each pilot must tense the muscles of his legs, abdomen and torso to counter the effects of normal acceleration or "g-loads" during hard turns and loops, for instance. Flight surgeons say a g-suit--a pilot's formfitting, bladder-encased set of "chaps" that plug into a cockpit receptacle and automatically inflate when pulling gs--adds about 1g to an aviator's g-tolerance. Without a g-suit, a pilot must compensate, relying only on strong, tensed muscles to keep blood in his or her head and prevent "greying out" or blacking out entirely.

"We don't wear g-suits, [because] we rest our arm on our leg," Saccomando continues. "Every time we put gs on the airplane, the suit would [inflate] and move the jet, because our arm would move. [Good physical conditioning] becomes very important when flying in the Diamond. We're a couple of feet apart, pulling 4gs, and if you pull just a hair more [due to g-suit expansion], you'll go 'flat' and get a face-full of wingtip.
