Here is a taste of the weather in Iowa..  This is looking at the tree in my front yard.  Looking at a frost covered tree through the smoke from my chimney  Looking out over the garden space.. Pretty but very cold.. |

That is always so cool to see the frost all over the trees shrubs. Very pretty.
Even the power lines look cool. Seen a lot of that this past week.

Solid ice on the main roads but the freeways were melted. We had to get to the Wife's side of the family Christmas gathering today.
I still have white knuckles from gripping the wheel so hard.

Wind chill is -14 out side right now at 8am.. There is no doubt that we will be having a white xmas.

is pouring like a heck here...all the snow we had the last few weeks is disappearing fast.If it doesn't change we may have a green Xmas here...it says it might hit -8 celcius tonight and snow the next few days...is +8 right now.

this was last Sunday...finally got my new tires Wed and the stuff is melting..but the temp started dropping now so...maybe..  10 minutes ago..this is what it looks like now...  |

No snow here yet, but it's supposed to tonight (Christmas day eve) and tomorrow, Wednesday. We've had snow up in the mountains around town, it just hasn't dropped to this elevation yet.
