So, I was playing COD4 for 5 minutes tonight and all of a sudden my computer shutdown, and I smelled burning!

I turned it off, took the cover off but couldn't see anything. I took another cover off that was leading from the induction fan, and noticed there was quite a bit of dust, like lint built up in there. I blew the whole inside out with an air can.

It wouldn't fully boot after 30 mins of sitting unplugged and the DVD rom kept clicking. I waited 15 more mins and it fired up. Everything seems fine now...should I be worried?
I'm hoping it was just the dust.

Hmm... I googled "Flaming Dust Bunnies" but couldn't find a picture to go with this post.

The constitution wasn't perfect but it was better than what we have today.

I just did the maintenance on my cpu fan tonight.. darn thing is getting very noisy.. time to order a new one..

I have one of the dustiest offices on the planet and only need to clean out my computer case once per year. You don't keep your computer down close to the floor do you?
