Once again, and for obvious reasons, I'm glad I'm a MacUser! Hmm... a quick Google search didn't turn up much in the way of MAC computer case options...

Yes KM but I just do not feel right tossing that word out there with a young teenage girl around. Im sure you know the word and meaning, never meant to imply that you were stupid. Sorry it is my ultra strict up bringing. Also Lam doesn't like profanity in his forums..
Yea never thought of that Lam ... good one... Kinda hard to find a new case for a Mac.

Never ask what kind of computer a person uses--if it's a Mac, he'll say; if not, why embarrass him?

You're right, Red... All good Mac users bow to their great Lord and Master at Apple. After all, why should you have a say in how your machine is built? Let the ones in power make those choices for you LOL!

They choose exactly what I want even before I want it! Man, they are so good at knowing it, too! And they've been knowing it right now since 1983 for me. I will dance with the girl that brung me, especially when she's the smartest and coolest, and I'll avoid those painted ladies for sure!

Actually I believe that it was Dell who bought Alienware. AMD bought ATI too. That would explain why I haven't found Alienware as eye opening as I used to. They are still good, but not as great as they used to be. And I also got a little bit better specs out of my Sager at 1400, than alienware at 1700. Alienware does have better quality parts, but that doesn't make a whole lot of difference.

Sager has built Alienware PCs for years. My Alienware laptop was built by Sager. As to Alienware not being as good as in the past, no management changes were made due to the merger. Dell insists that it does not want to change anything that Alienware puts out as Alienware is well known and respected in their market. The primary reason for the merger was that Alienware, being a small boutique PC company, did not have the necessary cash to go global. So they decided that they needed to either go public OR merge with a larger company that could infuse the cash they needed to go global. Additionally, designing their own form factors is quite costly and they needed cash for that as well. They decided that Dell had the ability to accomplish both of these goals for them.

I keep hearing people use "Alienware" and I don't know what that means other than "high-end," but any company or any person can do "high-end." So, what exactly does the brand Alienware imply? Does it mean maxed out super-processors (the best available at the time), or extra cooling, or lots of pretty neon lights, or what? This is not a slam but a serious query.
