For those who haven't been on recently, Lamron has been tweaking (yes, AGAIN! ;D) Snipers get modified Colt pistols...the better to defend you with, my dear! Shotgunners have traded their gas rounds for incendiary rounds...the better to bar-b-que you with, my dear! Hurry! Play with them now! Lamron is already an expert with them all (my nickname is apparently now "Swiss Char")! Besides, Lamron keeps things hopping and you never know what will be gone, added, or changed next! Way to go, Lam! Things never get dull around here!

Interesting...
I have found that when equipped with an M1, if I kill a sniper who had his pistol out, I can pick it up and be equipped with the M1 and the SuperColt.
However, if I am a sniper and find a map-supplied M1 laying around, if I drop my sniper rifle and pick up the rifle, I lose my SuperColt. I still had it when I dropped the sniper rifle, but as soon as I picked up the M1, presto change-o, no pistol.
I haven't tried this scenario yet by dropping my sniper rifle and trying to pick up a fallen opponent's M1. I would assume the outcome would be the same. Is this the way it is supposed to be?

Dunno, Des, kinda sounds like an I Love Lucy skit, what with fumbling with 3 different weapons and combos and pickups and drops, all while dodging bullets and keeping quiet! Ooooh, Rucy, you've got some 'splaining to do!

I see that Desmo2 is trying to crash the server again with his quick change I-can-hold-three-weapons-in-two-hands routine. LOL
The script runs when you spawn and raise your primary weapon. If its a sniper rifle, it takes any other pistol you have and gives you the Colt. If its not a sniper, it takes all the pistols away from you. If you pick an American skin, sometimes you get weird results because those skins already get the colt as their pistol. Especially if you are TRYING to screw it up by taking weapons you shouldn't have. LOL
I am considering scrapping the whole special sniper pistol thing. It makes snipers too powerful, and people keep asking why they don't have pistols. I'll have to give it some more thought.

The idea has merit. Snipers certainly have a way to defend themselves now when accosted by some cretin packing a bullet hose. I'm not the only one, I'm sure, that has picked the sniper rifle just so I could wreak havoc by running around with a very lethal pistol, however. I also miss having the variety of pistols. I like playing with the Webley, Walther, etc. How to balance this problem, my friend, is up to you!

No, Lam, keep the super colt for snipers, it's the only chance we snipers have once we close to short-distance encounters with the bullet hosers (nice word, des!).
However, the smg-er's do need a pistol for when they run out of bullets hosing them around everywhere! That's only fair, plus they can't bash with smg's. I know Lost Child feels this loss bitterly, and I have to agree. And snipers need to be able to bash, too, if nothing else to break the windows (without resorting to knives).
So, Lamron, keep the super colt for snipers but give regular pistols/revolvers to smg's, OK?
Anyone else want to chime in?

That would be great! I'm all for it.
I wouldn't be surprised if it isn't possible, however. I would think all pistols would have to be configured the same, but I know nothing about how all that works. That's why I play at LamronsPlayground rather than DesmosPlayground. Thankfully I have Lamron to do all the tedious, hard work for me!

My supercolt was gone today. Not sure if the german pistol was acting same as supercolt, as I didn't have time to notice! I respectfully request the supercolt be continued, or the german pistol be equivalentized (neologism) to the S-C. Please. What say you, O benevolent dictator?

Uhm, . Later, pressing the pistol key again gave the supercolt, and I could go back and forth between the german pistol and the supercolt. So, thank you!!!! My (gun) cup runneth over.
