Shoutbox--What the....??? Can anyone explain???

Well, some of you might have seen the recent exchange in the Shoutbox (Yellbox) at the bottom of Lamron's Forums home page.
DS made a comment about watching his cell phone set itself on the daylight savings change.
On my work PC with Windows and Firefox, I made a cute response (all my responses are cute, thank you very much), and Silly made a short response to that. THIS WAS ALL POSTED IN THE BOX, I SAW IT, IT WAS NOT IMAGINED (see below!).
Then I went home and on my Mac with Safari COULD NOT FIND THOSE two responses, and I asked what happened to them. Thereafter was a torrent of responses that I had imagined it, that my grey matter was turning to goo, etc. Harrrummmph, I know what I did and saw, and Silly confirmed it by "reposting" his little remark. I made a mention of UFO's as one of the followup comments (a tie-in to a Forum post I also made). STILL NOTHING ABOUT THE MISSING 2 EARLIER POSTS.
Then I went back to work the next day, REstarted my Browser (IMPORTANT: IT WAS NOT SIMPLY LOOKING AT A PREVIOUSLY OPENED, AND STILL OPEN, WINDOW, I RESTARTED THE BROWSER), went to Lamron's, and the Shoutbox NOW HAS THE 2 COMMENTS AND NONE OF THE ONES AFTER THAT, INCLUDING THE "IMAGINING" one and the UFO one, etc. What the......
?
I took screen shots of my work PC with my cell phone:
And I then posted in the Shoutbox about this new experience, and I saw it go through!!! Here it is on the camera, too:
And then I go home, and lo and behold, I still don't see the orginal 2, nor the new one about the camera shots, nor the followups about Imagining, UFO's, etc. What the......??
What is going on??? I do notice that the Day by Day cartoon strip was not the same as it was later that same day when I connected at home with my Mac.
Are there two servers for the Shoutbox, that for some reason I reach only ONE through my work PC, or is this some weird firewall/caching issue--Lamron's forums were active and up to date at the same time, so I don't think it's an issue just connecting to the Shoutbox and getting only cached data.
Can anyone explain this? Before my grey matter does turn to goo?
