New Secondary Weapon: FN Five-Seven PistolReal-world weapon: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FN_Five-sevenThe FN Five-Seven pistol shoots a small, very fast round designed to penetrate body armor. The small case diameter allows 20 rounds to fit in the magazine, and still fit flush in the pistol. It shares ammo with the FN-P90. Ammo: 5.7 × 28 mm Armor Piercing Capacity: 20 ROF: Semi-Auto Normal Range: 50 yards Silent Range 30 yards Damage: 25 So why would you want to use this low-damage pistol when there are other Secondary Weapons with higher damage or full-auto? This gun shoots special armor piercing ammo that is not effected by Body Armor or the Juggernaut suit (it doesn't benefit from Stopping Power either). It does the same damage to every player, no matter how they are equipped. This means that it always kills in 4 body hits, or 2 hits if one is in the head. It also as very high penetration and doesn't lose much power going through cover.

New Lethal Device: Molotov Cocktail
The Molotov was removed a while ago to make room for something else, but now that I have some XMODEL space it has returned. I missed setting Lost_Child on fire.
It has a damage radius of 12 feet. If you are within the radius during the initial impact/explosion, you will receive an immediate 50 damage. After that, the fire does 5 damage every 0.3 seconds. If you were hit by the first 50 damage, you can only survive another 3 seconds before death.
The fire will burn for a total of 15 seconds.
Body Armor and Sonic Boom effect the initial explosion damage, but don't change the continuing burn damage.
The visual fire FX is pretty large and will protrude through walls, but you will only be hurt if the impact point has a direct line of sight to some part of your body.
Juggernauts are immune to fire.

Lam, forgive me, this is just me, but if you would be so kind, I'd appreciate it: I've played COD, COD:UO, COD2, and COD4, all online only (not the fps), mostly COD:UO and now some 4. So when you say you take a weapon out of BO2, that doesn't do anything for me, and I still don't have a good feel for much of 4's weapons. So when you add a weapon like the Ballista, if you could summarize it's plus and negative in one or two simple sentences, that would be nice. Otherwise, it's just another unknown, kind of ugly, weapon for me to (eventually) try. thanks.

When I note that I took a weapon from a particular game, I'm just giving source credit for the model and animation files. Its original performance characteristics are irrelevant, I write completely new weapon files for each. Often, it is completely different from the original game. I usually fix magazine sizes and ROF to match the real-world weapon, then everything else (damage, range, accuracy, recoil, reload speed, ADS speed, zoom, etc.) is set to make it play well with other weapons, while trying to be unique.
The Ballista in particular is very similar to the L96A1 it replaced; a high-damage magazine-fed bolt-action rifle. The reason for the change is that the dimensions (and available animations) for this model allow for more sight choices to be added to it. Now you can choose iron-sights, reflex, acog, scope.
Sometimes a weapon model is replaced simply because I found one that looked better.

New Secondary Weapon: China Lake
The China Lake is back again and firing explosive 40mm grenades.
The China Lake spawns with ZERO ammo! You must use Scavenger to obtain ammo before you can use it.
Don't worry, you don't have to rely on the normal randomness of Scavenger. If you have the China Lake in your possession, Scavenger will attempt to fill it first, before your other weapons.

The China Lake was giving you the stun effect if you were damaged by it. This was not intentional, I forgot to remove part of the old script from when it was a stun weapon. Its FIXED now, you will receive damage only. I also reduced the size of the blast radius.
I thought the spawning with no ammo worked pretty well. You're carrying around a useless secondary until you get at least one kill, and you only pick up one 40mm grenade at a time from Scavenger. That limits the amount of grenade spamming that is possible.

New Primary Weapon: Leyden SniperThis new sniper rifle fires projectiles that kill on impact or stun with close impact. The stun radius is small, and the stun effect only lasts one second. If you're quick, you may be able to take a second shot during that brief time your victim is incapacitated. The projectiles have a bright electrical effect that is very easy to see, and looks cool. The Leyden rifle versus other sniper rifles: Pros: - Any hit kills - Stun effect for close misses - May earn Instant Revenge bonus if projectile is in-flight when you are killed Cons: - Can not earn headshot bonus - Can not earn distance bonus - A quick enemy can dodge projectiles This model is a combination of parts of weapons from Titanfall, Black Ops, and World at War. It was originally a bolt-action bullet weapon. I have modified it so far from its origins that it needed a completely new name. The Leyden Sniper is named in honor of Jules Verne's fictional weapon that appears in "20,000 Leagues Under The Sea". The Leyden Jar is a real device for storing electricity. The fictional part is the small size, and making it strong enough to withstand launching, while still breaking on contact with the target. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leyden_jar

That limits the amount of grenade spamming that is possible. Although I agree about the disgusting practive of grenade spamming, the China Lake I only use if I see a player or have him in a corner or building where I can't get a clear body shot; I don't spam with it. So, this change means effectively that I don't choose the China Lake as a secondary weapon. It's just too much work to use, to get ammo for. I thought spawning with only 2 rounds for it was too little. I don't recall anyone else using it much on the server, though, so I'm probably in a minority.

Played last night a couple of maps, just me and Lam, tried my best to sneak and snipe, sometimes it worked, sometimes not. But I had a lot of fun trying the PPSH and dodging the Leyden Sniper, and trying other special weapons. Nice work, Lam!

New Primary Weapon: M1 Garand
The classic Garand rifle is now available. This semi-auto, iron-sights only, weapon has an eight round clip that is not reloadable before empty. The last shot makes a distinctive PING sound, so keep in mind that your enemy knows when you are reloading.
Damage: 100 Range: unlimited
Model and animations from COD:World at War. Custom weapon skin (new wood) by me.

New Primary Weapon: Polish PM-63The Polish PM-63 is a small pistol-sized smg designed for defensive use by soldiers who's duties prevented carrying a full sized weapon (tank crews, supply and support people, etc.) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FB_PM-63The PM-63 is an unusual design that fires from an open bolt in the form of an external slide. Most weapons are either closed slide, or have an enclosed open bolt. It also has a rate reduction mechanism that slows the rate of fire to 650rpm. Similarly sized full-auto weapons are usually 1000+ rpm. The 9×18mm Makarov round with the lowered ROF makes this a very controllable weapon compared to other machine pistols. Another interesting feature is that the slide will not close on an empty magazine, meaning that you do not have to charge the weapon again after reload. In-game, we are using the smaller 15 round magazine intended for easy carry. However, reloads are fast and reloads from empty are not slowed down by a manual rechamber animation. It is iron-sight only, as the sights move with the slide. Damage: 30 Range: 40 yards Magazine: 15 rounds Rate of Fire: 650rpm So, small magazine and slow rate of fire. What does this weapon have to make you want to use it? Extremely low recoil and high accuracy. It also has full movement speed while ADS and fast recovery from sprinting. I modified the model (from COD:BO) to add high-visibility sights that should be very easy to use. The new PM-63 replaces the STEN.
