New Game Mode: Gumby Telepads
Gumby Telepads are named after the old self-appointed "Gumby Squad" who made it their mission to break my scripts by doing things I never could have anticipated. This mode really throws all the map limitations out the window and lets you do whatever you want. All special weapons modes and gametypes are compatible and can be used at the same time if you want.
Here's how it works. The Telepad is the same model as the Spawn Beacon, without the blinking lights. It exists all the time and moves to wherever your crosshairs are pointing. It doesn't block anything or interfere with other gameplay. Whenever you press the Spawn Beacon key (the key is shown in HUD above ammo display) you will be instantly teleported to wherever the Telepad currently is. The optional direct keybind to Spawn Beacon shown on the ESC menu will work much faster because your weapon does not have to lower/raise.
Fall damage is turned off, so don't worry about jumping off tall buildings. You can even point the Telepad into the sky and teleport up there and fall back to earth.
Many of the maps have surprisingly large and detailed areas outside of the play area. Now you can explore anywhere you want. Expect to find some odd things like buildings that aren't solid, or invisible walls that you can't shoot through. Map bugs outside the normal play area are to be expected. If you get completely outside of the map, you will usually die and respawn, but if you get stuck someplace and can't get out, change teams to force a respawn.
This mode is completely open to do whatever you want with it. Go exploring, teleport across the map right into someone's face and knife them, shoot falling players out of the sky, just have fun with it. Serious competition is impossible in this mode, you'll enjoy it more if you're not concerned about the scoring.
LPmembers can turn on the Gumby Telepads.
