The LPflag menu did make an (invincible) player look like he was just standing there. This was confusing to other players and making the grabber very vulnerable to ambush after selection. I reworked the script to make it so you will disappear while making your selection, and then you will immediately respawn with your new toys in hand someplace else. This should work better. The Bullet Proof vest are a little hard to see. AIGAD made a couple different textures and we decided to go with the more realistic shade instead of the more visible one. This was probably a mistake, and at some point we'll change it something brighter. Changing it will require a redownload of the Client Fix for everyone, so I want to wait and make sure there will be no other changes needed. Thanks Lam. I agree on the vest comments. Often I do not realize that players are wearing the vest until I am too close to them change weapons. Making it "standout" like the suicide bomb vest would certainly help me out alot. The respawn after choosing the flag menu is brilliant. THNAKS!

I will be the fly in the ointment here...
I like the bp vest the way it is.. players know that they are in the game. I like the fact that you have to be more observant to notice that some one is wearing them. This way the s&p players have to look instead of just spray bullets at you. If they waist 4 clips they will learn to slow it down for the head shot... lol

Ok...I overall really like the new fix . The flag choices are great love 'em. Especially since the respawn was added .
The bulletproof vest , I DON"T like . It makes the really good players (Lam, Aigad, Mar, Silly, etc) That are hard enough to hit even HARDER . And makes the lesser players like myself even more frustrated trying to hit them . Yet doesn't benefit the lesser player like me against our regular group of head-shot elite , knife butchers, and mortar/bashers
At least with the other vest, it was equal to who ever used . A lesser player could use it with the same effectiveness as a better player.
Just My Opinion !
EDIT!!! I'm not asking for change. BUT I do have a compromise if workable and interested. The Flags rotate from good to bad Could the vest rotate from bulletproof to suicide ? Even if they matched .... and only told the wearer which it was when picked up ....or a clue so you can choose ? It might make the bashers/stabbers think for a sec before getting too close.

happened to Mar today too...
some times when you fall to your death Aigad gets the kill credit whether he had shot you first or not...
LOL isn't his score high enough already.. LMAO

I found one too. My "Stop-drop-and-roll" command doesn't work. We may need some of these positioned in key locations on many maps.

OOOOH, I like the suicide/bullet-proof option, just hope it isn't too slow to implement (am I the only one who has to read through the entire flag menu everytime to pick something?).

There was one other odd situation where we were holding one of the snipers, (the Auto-sniper maybe? RedRock can probably remember which one). Any way, it would not let us into the LP Menu. When we tried to holster our weapon before entering the Menu, it would holster it, but then re-arm it again right away. I had to Hit the H key to toss it before I could get into the Menu. ;D I was in the LP menu repeatedly changing to each weapon restriction one at a time to see if anything was in a slot that wasn't what it was named (hoping the ppsh was still there and the pulse rifle was there under a different name, or some fancy weapon was hidden under an old name, etc.), and it was the 3-shot m-something rifle with bash (as I recall) that we got stuck on--couldn't holster it despite the holster command, so couldn't enter the LP menu again, and I couldn't use the change-sides regular or Lamron-shortcut to go to spect or respawn elsewhere, either. Silly beat me to the drop weapon command and entered the LP menu before I could and changed to all weapons, and then all was back to normal.

I have been thinking on this bulletproof vest too.
I also do not like it for the exact same reasons posted by LC.
Marco and I were "testing" the vest yesterday. A hit to the head or feet does damage, but arm hits do not. I thought only the torso was protected.
I LOVE LC's idea about a choice of vests that only the wearer knows. To assume a player has a vest I am fine with. To further have to make an assumption as to what type of vest the player is wearing will "equalize" the current imbalance of benefit that some wearers are gaining from the current vest.
Finally... DO the flags rotate from "good" to "bad"? If so I have never had a bad one... curious.

Aigad and I noticed a similar problem last evening... if you select the pulse rifle in restricted weaps.. you can not holster it.. you press the holster button it puts it away then draws it right back out.. we had the same problem with the ppsh before the change... Is it something with that slot?
Just an idea.
