Why the hell do we put up with the stupid cost of motoring in England? we pay a road tax, fuel tax (highest in europe) tax on MOT tax on the work we have done even tax on our insurence, we have the highest amount of parking fines and speed tickets issued, some so money grabbing its mind boggling.
We now have a exstended "congestion charge" in London which is a farce as it has not reduced the congestion it still takes forver to get round, now this goverment wants to charge the motorist tax for every mile he/she drives? sorry but FUCK ME what next. If this happens we WILL see protest and road blocks like the fuel protests.
Yeah come to england but just don't drive here LOL

watch that stress level there garp lol... dont feel alone bud .. not much better here in the states... taxed on fuel, yearly on registration, on insurance.. not as bad as per mile.. that blows. then to top it when you travel our interstate system there are toll roads here and there you have to pay to drive on. not to mention you always see them tearing up perfectly good road and redoing it wasting out tax money.. while the bad sections remain unrepaired. some states are worse than others.. well anyway didnt want you to feel alone in this.. never been across the pond... but dont think I would drive over there anyway .. could not get used to driving on the wrong side of the road and steering wheel on wrong side of car lmao.. have a good one bud..

Its not too bad here. I just paid my yearly motorcycle insurance and plates (taxes). Together they totaled $267. That's all it cost me per year to operate my motorcycle. And at about 55 mpg I don't mind paying $2.30 per gallon. ;D

I don't actually pay for gas, so that $2.30 is just what I remembered from last riding season. Local prices here might be a little different here. I'll have to take a look next time.

I have a company vehicle that I get to take home. I don't even own a car. All the gas gets put on the company fleet credit card.
