Whether your Rep or Dem, I believe this bill to be totally wrong. I have signed the petition and encourage you to do so also if you believe as I do that the govt. should not be looking to prosecute non politically correct speech and ideas. DS, I just read the bill you have mentioned above. I am shocked that this is actually going to vote. All I can say is " ARE THEY FREAKIN KIDDING?"

I too signed the petition. While I may not fully agree with its authors, I agree that any and all speech must be protected, period. To lose freedom of speech or religion would horrific.

Update on S.1105 "the hate crime bill"

this vid is long but an eye opener. Well worth the time even if you don't agree with the religious side of it. It goes to show the "storm trooper" tactics we can look forward too if this bill passes. I don't know about you but I would not like to have the police showing up at my door just because I speak my mind on an issue.

I must agree. The idea that one cannot speak their mind without fear of penalty from government is revolting. While I often do not agree with some forms of speech, I will always argue that they must be allowed. After all, I can choose not to listen.
