I have always been fascinated watching drum lines and drummers do what they do at such a fast rate of speed. This guy is incredible. tinyurl.com/6mxjej

Very cool. One of my 20 yr olds was a drum line drummer in HS. He will get a kick out of this if he hasnt seen it already.

One thing you all can do is to check out your local colleges, as most have an annual (usually in the late spring) recital of the whole musical department, usually free (a donation fundraiser) or cheap, with each area/section (woodwinds, brass, strings, vocal, percussion, etc.) doing one or more numbers, frequently cool variations on a well known piece (think Purple Haze by Jimi Hendrix played by a fast string quartet) or an original composition by the students (think a cool upbeat percussion number where the only "instruments" are 6 matchboxes partly full of wooden matches or sand). It's usually a small audience and good acoustics, and it's a ton of fun! Contact your local college to enquire.
And don't forget about Stomp! I love "natural" percussion!

About 30 secs before the end, he dropped the stick... But to be great you have to know how to recover, and he did a good job. Very cool vid!!
Red, you should learn from this LOL

Did anyone even see the stick switch he did before the first pause? Holy crud. I don't care for the screaming and yelling but my brother also a drummer, has a DVD of Slipknot (I think I spelled it right) and one of the camera angles is just the drummer. No wonder they are so damn skinny. He is so gifted.
