Is homoerotic a word you just made up? Now I feel confused! LOL No, it's a well known word. Want a good example but from the other side of the aisle (and world--filmed in New Zealand)? The old tv show "Xena, Warrior Princess" always had little situations and sorta-innocent girl-girl talk/actions/situations between Xena and her sidekick Gabrielle, the annoying little blonde, that COULD be much more than just girl power or girlfriends, and that drove the show for popularity in many ways--I didn't really want to believe that when it was on and sort of ignored it or failed to recognize it, but when you watch any Xena's now, it's so obvious, and if you watch the fan-picks or best-of's dvd extras, it's openly discussed by lots of, shall we say, less-attractive female types and also by the producers/actors/directors. Titillating stuff with a homosexual bent, that's homoerotic. So, when the oily golden boys are sliding up and down each other with rippling muscles and bulging speedos, is there any wonder the "suggested" other youtube videos to watch (for those who watch the golden boys) are entitled things like "Golden guys in queer positions" and "Lesbians at the sea" etc.--those are paraphrases of what was being suggested when I went to watch the golden boys. They were truly amazing, with their power and control, but the homoerotic thing was creepy. Sure, could have been innocent, but.......? Just creepy, is all, at least for me. Like Michael Jackson and that giant girl puppet/marionnette.  |
