thanks for your concern rock. My mom and I are doing our best, since last month my brother died over in Iraq, and now my dad over there. That is why they cancelled my orderes to head over there. And i really think my mom would loose it if I went over right now. They gave me the chance to get out of the military due to the fact of our lose, but I vowed to stay in and fight for what i belive in. So, take care and talk to you when I get back.

Hello everyone,
Just wanted to let you know I am back, safe and sound, so all you guys dont have to worry. I am off to bed I think, or going to try at least. See you all on the battlefield sometime.

I would shut it off for a few hours then try and restart it. You might have a virus or a component going bad.

I turned it off for a whole day and still does the same thing. Anything else I can do? Since its a laptop any place around here, will charge anywhere from 100 to 200 dollars just to look at it. then 75 an hour after that, plus parts. Lol, Rock, if the mac was compatiable to have the stuff I need my computer for as far as work related stuff goes I would. I had a mac for the longest time and it still runs... but everything we use for work, isn't compatiable to the mac.

If it won't boot in Safe Mode, its sounding like a hardware problem. Can you hear the hard drive spinning? Eject the CD drive first to make sure its not what you hear. You can trash the hard drive by banging it around or by setting the laptop on a soft surface.

See some of our previous discussions here ( for example: lpmembers.proboards34.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=1152057584 ). PS, I hope your laptop doesn't contain the names, socials, dob's, and addresses of several thousand flyboys!!!!!

I'm starting to see your pattern, Desmo2! Taking out of context and "missunderstanding" everything Red says looks like fun! Can I play too?
