I was not aware of that.
It doesn't make sense to me. Both parents should be citizens of a country before a child of theirs can be one.
Dual citizenship is another thing I have trouble with.
"I pledge allegiance to the flag...." How can one pledge allegiance to more than one country?

They are only dual citizens until they reach their majority. At that point they must choose. I see this as reasonable because it allows the individual to choose what nation that they wish to be a citizen of. Much like religion, many choose differently for themselves than their parents would.

I have no problem with the legal dual citizenship of minor children.
