I'm not trying to overtake any other thread, just wanted to put it in a properly named for what I'm doing I guess.

Go and look for SPACE WARS 3D Screen Saver

With the trial you get spaceships and stuff BUT!!! If you buy it, you get to use the addon space craft. This will include BSG --Battlestar Galactica ships, Starwars, and Star Trek Ships....more ships will be added!!!! but to get addon ships you have to buy the full version!

I have to tell you though, you can pit 1 enemy VS another....IE I have mine set on Starfleet VS the Galactic empire...lol....there's nothing like seeing a Star Destroyer hyper in, and then the Enterprise, voyager, and Excelsior and a few shuttles and flagships kick the crap out of some Tiefighters and kill the stardestroyers, also can set the number of flagships, and backdrop addons also!!


Here are a few ss shots....I'm hopeing he will add Borg and romulan stuff also!!...rrrr it has everything a random game would have except a scoreboard.
...need a scoreboard for enemy tally...what do you think?....if you check it out?...Shields light up also when hit!!...and really..the sshots really don't do it good enough, but in mop, it's worth a few bucks if your a scifi nut. Check out the trial and tell me what you think, I guess he makes it for mac also.

That is interesting. I got it for the Mac, and downloaded the new ships and backgrounds. He needs to add Firefly ships (Serenity, a Reaver ship or 2, and (blocking on the name) the Government tower ship, and he definitely needs to add Babylon 5 ships!!!

I couldn't think of them either but I may have found them here.
I.A.F. Dortmunder and Magellan , and your right...that would be neat to see one of those fly in, but after thinking about it, did they ever have one of those ships fire any weapons? I don't recall seeing that.

Hey Redrock, have you played with this more yet? I think you should send him a mail on your ideas on ships....just add something about keeping score for sides and option on moving mouse to change follow angle....maybe more of a far away view also...LOL I type to slow in the dark. Just was curious if you played with it more....helped my kid sleep tonight.

I had to turn it off--I was just sitting and watching it! And the wife thought I was perpetually playing a game where I was waiting for my respawn. I did reset it at different distances, so I could better see the ships, and I put it as Federation vs. Federation so I could see more ships--the alien ships just were kind of boring. I need to check and see if he has more ships/quadrants to download, and I'll try to send him a suggestion--you can reach him too at his website.

I saw your reply a couple days ago but, didn't get a chance to reply yet, and also wanted to do it sooner than this but, they had like 6 episodes of D D D on food network in a row, and every commercial I turned back around I was zombIfied by Stardestroyers and fighters bearing down on Starfleet flagships or vice versa.

It is a very addictive screensaver, and I could and have thought of a number of ways to expand it but, I have no idea how to do this stuff or where to begin. Language, compilers....BAH I SAY. Which one, and where to start. Actually that reminds me of a question I had awhile back. Lamron, the mod scripts for Mo-ha, is this C or C++ just unencrypted or something? I'm just curious on where to start if you want to learn this sort of thing.

If anyone else has seen this SS in it's full form, it's like you recorded with Fraps once, then it takes on its own life....but it has the possibility to do a whole lot more! sry, the entrepreneur in me is thinking....

Actually I think Fraps will do that also. I mean desktop visual record, then just use a move maker program to cut out the desktop actions. However if I remember right, you've got a Mac and not sure if fraps works with mac...let me look right quick....well no mac support, but it does support 64 bit stuff now.
