Never ask what kind of computer a person uses--if it's a Mac, he'll say; if not, why embarrass him?

Here is a cute sci-fi short video, about 12 minutes long. Don't watch the youtube trailer, it gives away too much of the 12 minutes. Just go to the site, register, get the email, and click the link in the email to get to see the video. It ran a little choppy for me, so I let it run almost to the end (with the sound off) and then moved the progress slider back to the beginning and then watched it, with almost no lags. It's The Portal, about inter-dimensional travel through energy portals. So it's a mix of Old English sword and sorcery with romantic-comedy modern Earth. Again, it's just 12 minutes and is supposedly the kick-off for a web series (to come). We'll see. Meanwhile, it's very well done and very enjoyable: www.riftworldchronicles.com/

Just watched it. Its not much more than just an intro, but looks well made.

I'm considering a donation to them, but I'm just providing this here as an update to you all, not a recommendation to donate.

Some really impressive design and engineering work went into making the Turbo Encabulator. I wonder why we don't see more of these in operation?

That was interesting, the adamantium/wolverine video. It led me to an interesting video of "What is Stronger: Adamantium or Vibranium?"
But can someone tell me--how did Wolverine get his adamantium talons back (they were cut off in Japan in a movie)--they regrew as bone talons, but now they're back full-strength adamantium in the latest movie (just came out, I haven't seen it yet).

Short answer: its a plot hole / continuity error. You're not supposed to notice those type of things in comic book movies. Offical(ish) answer (from the director): In "X-Men: Days of Future Past", the movie following "The Wolverine", Magneto joins with Xavier and Wolverine to save the world from the Sentinels. Magneto can control adamantium, and during this alliance he fixed Wolverine's claws. This happens off-screen and is never shown or mentioned in the movie. I think this answer was made up afterwards when questioned about the continuity error, but it is now the accepted answer.
