This was waaaaaay unexpected and definatly not on my to do list for tonoight!!!
I GOT 'em!!!! F'n possum....1am now...figers are still not working right, but I got em'.... still kinda pumped on adrenaline and finges are cold as hell, but I finally got the sum biznich!!!
Video was done in dark and not messing with it now but the quick details...
It died by blowgun, and bled alot!!! as a matter of fact, it was probly dead while I was still trying to kill the damed thing....if that makes sense.
just in case finishing move in case it was playing possum...loLOLOL = MACHETE I just didn't want my sword blade hitting the dirt and rocks...sry...dull machete no head removal...but it did make an uneasy sounding pop-n-squish...damn strange too cause I just cut tree branches the day before with it...hmmmm
If youd like to start placing bets to see how many dart it took , start now, but the exact one, not sure but have a good guesstimation. And yes sir's I have been drinking, and I swear, I only aimed for the middle one ;D
I'm not sure what I did and did not get on video, but I have the fealing I missed the neatest part.
I ran back in the house and grabbed the 6ft blowgun with the laser site on it, and only hit it once, and it fell out of the tree lol, thought it was fakin it.
Anyway, stay tuned to the same bat channel for some video...although, don't know how good it did at night!!!! just forwarning, but still doing shots of the darts I got back, they loked pretty gruesome to me and I don't hunt, so this would be my first I guess.
Then again, is there a difference between killing a pest and a hunt?
Got winders all back up...just getting fancy with the vid.
i did find a cool program that helped greatly speed things along called RadarSync.
It's a free driver updateing utility. It just has ads in it. But just don't go hitting update!!! As it also looks for new versions of software. So if you have a specific, um , version of something you don't what updated, uncheck the box.

Ya know, I glad you said that cause I read on pest control in this state waaaay before I even started this vendeta and been wanting to say that according to Indiana pest laws....if it's a pest...btw...and also you want you can hunt possum....god knows why, but you can.....
Is there now, and has there been an animal rights person in the nation that is a farmer?
If the answer is yes, point me to their website so I can tell them where to shove their rat chewed corn and make sure no one buys it!!!!!!!!!!
as long as you don't torture, or electrocute ....and something else....blah blah...OH hunt it in it's home....but that is mostly for hunting I think...have to find the link...hold
ahhh here it is interpet as you will, but ask your self this...are you ready for a throwdo....I mean....lol does what I did not comply with local laws?
Even if I chose to, but didn't....wouldn't you kill the thing in a part of your house , barn, shed, garage causing foul oder ,destructive presence whatever.
Find me a animal rights person that wants one living under their house or shed, and I'll see to it that I can live trap the (censored)and drop ship it to them, but I ain't paying for it!!! ....and yes I'll put air holes in the box, It's the fed ex guy that's gonna be pissed at you!
LOL now that I got that out of my system....
I may have misinterpreted this but this is Indiana current pest law, tell me if you interpret differently. ty ;D
I'm only pointing out what I've read, and even then, it doesn't matter I guess, It's like Galileo vs the church, because they new all....lol

I believe what you did is lawful, and well with in your rights to protect your home and property. What I am saying is the animal rights idiots would still kick a fuss, Picket in front of your house, try to sue you, try to get law enforcement too charge you with animal cruelty.
They do not care that it was a pest, too these fanatics all animal life is more valuable than human life.
I my self would have killed the lil bugger too. Found one sleeping in a nest box out in the chicken coop a while back, Shot him twice in the head with a .177 field point pellet from my 760 pump master. Dead vermin. LOL

yeah I understand what you were saying...those people just get me so uptight whenever I think about how .... rrrr I don't even have a word for it lol.
That's how I pretty much interpreted the pest law, I just wanted to be sure. None of the neighbors care so far, but just wanted to have something solid to point out to whomever I might need to....just in case.
Also, was it a young possum? lol Were you point blank?

Full grown possum, and about 15 - 20 ft. So yep point blank. Would have used a .22 or shot gun but had to consider what was behind the wall of the coop, and loud noises might make the chickens stop laying.
He was dead after 1st shot, but 2nd was to make sure.
When I was a kid, I used my trusty 760 to hunt rabbit and squirrel all the time. It is a very nice and powerful pump up pellet/BB gun.
