I have seen most if not all of these errors with my machine.
My computer froze up this evening again which is where all of those "Windows has shut down unexpectedly" lines show up in the above video.
I haven't experienced this yet, but I am almost sure that it is coming soon.

If they would just come out with a new service pack for you vista users that corrects all the crap they should have fixed before release all would be well.
I was running vista basic on my laptop.. (that is what it came loaded with)
I had zero issues with it. It ran everything I wanted to run. I wiped it and put XP Pro on it because I wanted to have the same OS both on my laptop and my desktop PC. Just for ease of file transfers.

I can't understand that either Mar. Are you using Vista 64-bit, Ultimate, Premium, or something else? I have Vista Home Premium...(sized headache) 32-bit and I have had so many quirks and errors happen with vista it is sickening.
The really dumb thing is that none of the problems are in conflict with hardly any other software I have installed, outside of COD4 of course. The errors have mostly been happening when I fire up Internet Explorer. All updates are up-to-date for all of my software, including Vista, but still, because Vista is such an unstable system, I get errors and unexpected stops.
To give a couple of other examples:
After I download a file, the download window will stay up on my screen indefinitely until move my mouse. I have the "close after completed" checked too. This happens a lot when this system hangs after I click on something. It will do nothing until I click the mouse or move the mouse and hover it over an icon so that the little help bubble pops up
When I have Internet Explorer already opened up and I go to click on a different Favorite from the Favorites drop-down box, I click on something/anything and the entire screen freezes. I keep clicking on what I want to select and about a minute later, it finally opens up that favorite for me, (sometimes with a small black rectangle stuck in my screen. That doesn't go away either until I shut down I.E. totally and then bring it back up.
I wait and wait and wait for MOH or COD4 to start up. Sometimes I wait 2 full minutes since I first clicked on the icon.
The other day, I tried to play a locally rented DVD on my computer. Windows Media Center gave me an error telling me that I need to put a DVD into my player that is intended for my area. I have played DVD's on this computer before! I also got that error by trying to play it using Media Player. Somehow my Area settings got changed. I didn't change them. But then it gave me the warning that I only have 4 more "area changes" left. How many times is Vista going to alter that and make me change it back, before I can no longer play DVD's intended for play in the United States?
Here is a simple log I kept after first encountering Vista on a mmfff!@cked up NEW Gateway computer:
3/5/08 Vista shut down while I was doing a simple Back-up using Microsoft's Restore application. 3/9/08 Vista shut down (BSOD) while playing COD4 3/11/08 Windows Explorer shut down and restarted. 3/11/08 BSOD 3/13/08 1:00 a.m. BSOD (while playing a game that machine should have easily handled) 3/13/08 2:00 p.m. BSOD (while browsing an average website)
Many times I created a file or folder on the desktop and found that Vista would not let me delete it, or even slide it into the recycle bin. It didn't mattar that I was logged in as the admin. I had to slide it into the c-drive or some other folder off of the desk top and was finally allowed to delete it. Vista kept telling me that I did not have the authority to perform such action?!?
NEW COMPUTER, with the Vista update that supposedly fixed that bad update they put out.
9/9/08 Windows Explorer stopped working, would not let me delete a non-essential file I had created. 9/16/08 Windows Explorer stopped working.
These are just the notes that I took the time to write down. Windows Explorer has shut down many many times before and so has Internet explorer and I have grown tired of writing them all down.
The only reason I haven't installed or went back to XP yet is because I got suckered into upgrading all of my business software to work with Vista... before I knew Vista was a P.O.S. system. I feel compelled to use the software now that I spent over $150 for it all.
Vista is a true "Lemon" and it is too bad that I can't fight Microsoft in court using the Minnesota Lemon-Law that safe guards us against such Lemon-vehicles
I am feeling it more and more with each and every error that pops up. XP will be taking it's rightful place on this hard drive soon. ;D

Those are some strange problems. Sounds like the computer is getting hung up doing something other than what you're telling it to do. Are you sure you don't have any spyware, adware, or viruses slowing things down?

this machine is Vista Ultimate 64 dual booting XP Pro SP2..the daughters laptop is Vista Home..I would say you are having hardware related issues that are causing software errors..possibly RAM..if the RAM is failing you will have errors poppin out your a** that seem strange..also as Lam said Viruses will cause strange issues too. If you have a floppy or thumbdrive run memtest 86 to test your RAM www.memtest.org/

Yes I would check for the virus first.
If that doesn't fix it, I personally would go back to XP. If the system wont work or crashes while you are using your upgraded business software, what good is it. How much information do you loose. How much time is wasted re entering info (while hoping it does not crash again)?
Just my opinion on it.

If it's a business decision, at some point, the equation has to equal GET A MAC! Run XP off the Windows side of the Mac for any business software you just absolutely can't run or replace on the Mac side. Ease of use, reliability, versatility, beauteous computing--that's the Mac.
