I was sent that very link via email by a friend who found it somewhat shocking... for realsies, lol. He is a lib/dem, so knowing this, yeah, it would be shocking for him.
I don't watch regular TV shows too often but if I were, Boston Legal and House would be the two I would.
William Shatner is the perfect actor to play that "Denny Craine" role. That Boston Legal character always seems to be suffering from some sort of dementia in each episode.
If you ever get the chance to find and watch the episode where Denny Craine takes his partner, (James Spader) fishing up north, you gotta see it!

i watch certian shows like HOUSE,SUPERNATURAL(my favorite),BONES ,NCIS and BOSTON LEGAL .. that episode was on last weekend.. later in the episode he is arrested in his office not for shooting the crook.. but for carrying a concealed weapon without a permit..when the police asked him for his weapon..he laid 6 different models of handguns on his desk from under his suit coat..lol.. and he always says it is the MAD COW DISEASE that he had that makes him do what he does as a defense
