I read several years ago in Popular Science that what we perceive as beauty is a face that is average in every way. In other words, the lack of distorted or exagerated features is what we're looking for. They had a picture that was computer averaged from 1000 faces, and the result was stunning. I ran across this demo and thought it was interesting. Can't see the final averaged face with the first link--will have to try at work with the windows box.

Nope! Doesn't work with the Windows box, either, not with IE or FireFox! It just will not give an average, it just won't stop spinning/thinking. Tried 3 pictures and 2 pictures to average, even let it run all night, but it wouldn't give a result. At least with my Mac, it quickly came back with a "that dog won't hunt!" result!!!  |

Yes, I noticed it does seem to round them all, literally, to a pleasant face, not our typical heart shaped skinny hollywood beauty.
