I finally got to the point where I can let you guys off the hook from my nightly ramblings. I just had to focus my frustrations to another spot for the time being.I cannot post in my usual home and hobby topic due to winter stuff... ie snow and/or it's windy. I can only imagine what it's like in a larger city like Indianapolis where Lamron is or worse in winter like Minnesota or Canada. Right now, here, just cruddy weather and don't go outside unless I have to.
I do however require some insight and constructive criticism into the latest creation I've been working on.
My website basically explains it all and tells you what it's about. Also I know the home page is alittle crowded with junk. I do need some input on what you think so far, and/or what it could use.
Like I said, it's obvious what it's about, but would like some things to add from an outsiders point of view.....maybe a healthy will it blend, blender recipe?
I'm learning that even with a cut and paste site, that it takes hours of typing, honing, and tweaking to do things to a website.
Hell, with any luck, one of you guys will find it interesting enough to give me suggestions of arcade games to add so you have something to do while your at work lol.
Thanks for any input and/or criticisms..... especially from President, as he may have misunderstood my post awhile back, but, for the life of me, I still can't figure out why you want two mice hooked up to your computer LOLOL. Me being impatient sometimes, I probly missed it.
Anyway, thanks guys, and being patient with me while I go through my rough patches of life. I can only imagine what will happen when the Obamanation starts to kick in.

It looks like a good start. I am assuming all the advertisements are because it is a free hosting site for your web page?
If possible I would move that all to the bottom of the page if possible. Maybe some interactive graphics for your links, and a custom background for your page.
Keep up the good work, it takes time to become proficient at web page authoring.

actually, that's me putting those there...the adds, but yes thank you on the idea of where to stick them as far as page placement goes. After I slapped them there on the first page, I never really messed with them again. On some of the newer pages, I found some places to stick them without cramping the page up too much.
as of right now, this place does not support background images.
I'll start looking into some animated buttons. If that's what you were referring to.

the buttons would be good. You can also use any gif jpg png or any other supported graphic as a button/link. here is the code. Make sure to leave the quote marks in. <a><href="put page or file to link to here with file extension"><img src="name of pic file with extension"></a> to set a background color or picture as your background here is the code. <body background="name of pic file, or name or code of color" bgproperties="fixed" > If it is you placing the adds on the page to try and draw a few bucks for click troughs, then they would need to be placed strategically through out the site, or make a whole new page called links, with an explanation of If you would like to help support my sight please visit my link page and click through on the adds. Just some ideas. |

hmmm I'll look to see if it will let me do a background,but I searched their help section and it had been stated you couldn't, but that doesn't mean there isn't a work around. It's a drag and drop builder. As far as the links go, the google ones anyway, I'm not aloud to click them or suggest anywhere on the site that visitors should. google adsense is funny about that. How does the ad placement feel on this page? homeandhobbyhelpfulls.synthasite.com/router-and-cable-modem.phpIm guessing it works out better when there is more readable content on the page rather than just a little text. lol, took all dang night to do that page with the kid trying to help me type.  and thanks Lamron for peeking too, as I believe it was your visit that got the visitor counter to scroll finally lol. |

If it will let you switch to a text editor, you should be able to manually change the code. But some click and drag builders will not let you.. What software are you using? Adds look good on that page.  |

All the software is theirs, and works right from the browser. It allows you you drop specific frames into the the page. If I want to drop a box to do html in I drag it to that spot, same with a picture, text or widget box.

lol, just caught that post Red. Anyway, New Marvel Movies coming out. I don't know who all is into comics, but one is animated and looks very good to me, but then again they both have Wolverine. The other is Wolverine Origins with Hugh Jackman from x-men movies. The trailer page had embed code for them so I suck them on the front page of my site so they are both on the same page. Be sure to watch them in full screen if interested. It should be interesting to see the Wolverine origins movie. From what they said in the trailer script, it has some things about Alpha Flight. I hadn't heard of that wolverine movie, it looks good. So, what, are the saying he's been alive since blue-coat musket war days (?pre 1900?). I don't know much of him. There has been years gone by in the marvel universe that wolverine himself does not know his real name or how old he is. He was born in the late 1800s, but due to massive mind altering stuff done to him along with traumatic experiences, I don't think he can remember much before WWII. I do know that he didn't have his claws while teamed with Captain America during WWII before the Captain went missing in action for a few decades before he was found. As far as I've known the mind altering stuff came from the weapon-x program that fused the metal to his bones, but he was already a mutant with powers of healing and heighten senses and the healing factor is what let him survive the metal process. As far as I know he still doesn't know. I haven't been able to keep caught up with what he's discovered about himself for several years. I've needed a new box for along time but I never get to the town that sells them, so I've still got stacks of comics on top of the other boxes lol. Wow, a little too deep in comic lore for me. I really liked Capt. America when I was little, along with Thor and Spiderman and IronMan and Silver Surfer and Hulk, but I sure don't remember Wolverine. Thanks for the info.

I found a really cool website programing tool kit if anyone else has their own site. It's called JS-Kit. I was going to say something direct to Lamron, but I'm sure he'll see this anyway, so to the point. I don't know html, but yet I implemented a 5 star voting, and thumb up down rating system along with a new visitor comment or submission area. The navigator system comes with a built in polling system for voting polls....just know that the navigator box on my front page is intergrated withe star ratings and the thumb voting and connected to the comments on the visitor submission page. The colors are so so right now, not sure if I'm leaving them that way. If your curious, on my site, I seperated recipes using the 5 star rating, and the cleaning and other tips with thumb up/down scoring if you want to see it. Apparently I need a certain amout of info before the navigator on the front page picks up the two, so I'm still adding content....DS, If you have a field dressing tutorial for a deer or something else, I could use it, but don't feel obligated, I just thought you being a hunter, you might already have in order type pics or something. Just thinking off top of my head, that I needed a hunters refuge, or a Surf and Turf Hunting Tips© section....lol I called it To Aigad: you expressed a wonder why you where already signed in on my shoutbox. It seems I stumbled across the same one on the playground site, just a rearranged smaller version for my page.  To Lamron: I do know for the free version ov this your only allowed 60 posts a day or something and/or add free. Don't know if your paying for it or not, but I thought I'd mention that the JS-Kit thing can be used as a shoutbox.
