cool.
more good news.
I guess that idea that the country's ever-growing population will carry the previous generation/s isn't working after all.

That was a pretty interesting explaination of the problem. And it will actually become worse than that as the higher taxes make having a job more and more economically unfeasable. There's a particular income level that is less than being on welfare, and that number keeps rising. I'm increasingly convinced that we are past the point of no return and we will never recover from our financial mess.

Drastic government spending cuts are needed badly... yester-year already.
Somehow we have to break all government programs down into two categories: Needs or Wants.
The whole trouble with this simple solution, is that both categories are subject to different interpretations because of the lack of nation-wide common sense. We will never be able to come to an agreement on any of this and we can all say goodbye to the US dollar as it's value becomes totally worthless. All the while, everyone points their fingers at others and blames them instead of themselves.
My two cents...

It would probably help if you weren't allowed to vote if you received any type of public assistance. That would remove the motivation for politicians to keep promising more and more stuff. It would also put some control of the money back into the hands of the people who were paying it.
